Description
A few years ago, a friend gave me a reversible apron, and it became my favourite thing. It was made of lightweight soft pretty fabrics and was so comfortable I wore it every day cooking supper, until it was threadbare! I have finally made myself a replacement and now have the pattern to share with you. This is a lovely sewing project for beginners and improvers and anyone who just loves fabric! You will learn: - How to set up your sewing machine - and some troubleshooting - How to understand the different qualities of fabric - How to cut from a paper pattern - Why we use seam allowances - How to make a pocket - How to make something reversible. Please bring along 2 contrasting lightweight fabrics - 3/4 of a meter of each. It is a good idea to pre-wash your fabric. Our studio is in a beautiful converted oast with exposed beams and gentle views across the farmland. Filled with mouth-watering aromas from The Oast Bakery, where Alison prepares our delicious refreshments, this is the perfect place to escape the pressures of daily life and enjoy some creative time for yourself. Our aim is to offer the chance to unwind, learn a new skill and meet like minded people whilst enjoying a cuppa and a slice of cake. "Great courses! There are so many to choose from. I have done cushion making, paper flowers, rope bowls and also the social sewing evening. The tutors are amazing, patient and inspiring. Alison who provides the refreshments is lovely. Her homemade cakes and lunches are out of this world. I cannot recommended The Oast Studio enough" SHARON CLARK - 2023
