One-to-one: Dressmaking and sewing class
Description
A one-to-one practical class to learn dressmaking, sewing, pattern cutting, etc. Would you like to learn to make clothes from scratch? How about altering, customising, or up-cycling existing garments? Or maybe you are just after some single lessons on pattern cutting, sewing techniques, or fabric cutting, for instance? Whether you are after lifelong skills like making or mending your own clothes, or pursuing a professional career; whether you have a background in fashion or you are a complete beginner, my lessons cater for everyone. With decades of experience as a freelance fashion designer and garment technologist, I can help you develop your designs while you learn, and they will be tailored to your needs. The sessions include the use of machines and tools, fabrics for testing, although not final fabrics (these would have to be provided by yourself depending on the project that you are making). You will be learning from a local professional fashion designer with more than 25 years' experience, in a city-centre studio near Manchester's Northern Quarter. Practical information: - I teach fashion design, sewing, sewing machinery. - Maximum number of students during the training course: 1. - Audience concerned: All. - Validity of the workshop: All year around.
