You will learn: - How to set up your sewing machine - and some trouble shooting - How to understand the different qualities of fabric - How to work from a pattern. - How to sew and finish seams neatly - How to make a waist tie FABRIC REQUIREMENTS For sizes 8 - 14, please bring 3 metres of light dress weight cotton fabric of 140cm width. For sizes 16 and above, please bring 4m of light dress weight cotton fabric of 140cm width. It is a good idea to pre-wash your fabric before you come to avoid shrinkage after making your Kimono. Please avoid slippery satin or silky fabrics. Please note - If your fabric is narrower than 140cm, you will need an extra metre. Our Studio is in a beautiful converted Oast with exposed beams and gentle views across the farmland. Filled with mouth-watering aromas from The Oast Bakery, where Alison prepares our delicious refreshments, this is the perfect place to escape the pressures of daily life and enjoy some creative time for yourself. Our aim is to offer the chance to unwind, learn a new skill and meet like minded people whilst enjoying a cuppa and a slice of cake. "Great courses! There are so many to choose from.
