Colour Explosion: Africa. Lucy Renshaw will be hosting and running this amazing one off day, focusing on colour and pattern for fashion and interiors, inspired by African fabrics. Collaborating with Zuri Djan from Oshun, who has an extensive range of beautiful African fabrics suitable for Interiors and dress making. The day will include pattern and texture theory, which will inspire you for Interior Design and Fashion. Make a simple smock top and some Interior products, either a lamp or cushion. If colour and pattern makes you nervous, there will be top tips and practical tasks of how to use in subtle ways! Delicious vegetarian lunch and treats for the day will be provided by Ghanaian pot, beautiful food full of colour and flavor. This is a real treat day not to be missed, get inspired, gain confidence and the food is going to be amazing! Lucy Renshaw runs her holistic Colour, Interior design and soft furnishing business from her renovated 17th Century colourful home in the Derbyshire Dales. Lucy is a Royal College of Art graduate with 15 years experience in her field. She now tutors Interior Design at Nottingham Trent University and has experience in Contemporary Upholstery, Soft Furnishings, Furniture design, Design Consultancy and Mixed Media Textiles. Over the years Lucy has exhibited at various trade shows, including Maison et Objet, Paris. ICFF, New York and has also completed commissions for Liberty London and Colin Firths Eco Age, as well as being commissioned to write a book about her design concepts - 'Mixed Media and Found Materials.' (A&C Black) Lucy is known for her bold use of colour and pattern and has a passion for working with reclaimed materials. Inspirational classes to suit all abilities with experienced tutoring in a relaxed environment. Lucy also runs Interior Design workshops, which are very practical and could be used in conjunction with this course. 1-2-1 tailor made design coaching and consultancy is also available, enabling you to realize your ideas and save hefty money on Interior Design fees!
