The Coppice Co. started in 2020 after Suz Williams finished her two year apprenticeship as a coppice worker and traditional craft maker. Since then she has been teaching traditional woodland crafts across the country. Her speciality is willow weaving, split hazel baskets and spoon carving.
"I had a great time at this course - I had never woven a basket before and thanks to the excellent tuition from Suz my basket looks pretty good. Suz helped everyone to complete a basket in the day class. The facilities were good (the hall was warm and had good light) and I had everything I needed."
"I have done a course with Suz Williams and it was amazing. She was very helpful teaching us step by step process making a beautiful finished basket. Skills we can use for future. Highly recommend you will have a sense of achievement when you finish and feel fulfilled. Don't hesitate doing this - please go for it. "
The Coppice Co. responded:
"Thank you for your lovely review Chris! It was great to have you along and be part of the day"
"A fantastic day in the woods. Thanks Suz for a magical time learning a new skill in a beautiful setting. We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and are chuffed to bits with our baskets! "
"We loved this course. It was our first time basket weaving and we left with real baskets! Lovely setting in the Forest. Great tuition and teaching. Very happy with our first craft courses experience. "
