"What a fantastic day, I was lucky enough to be on the course with a lovely lady and our tutor Jo who made us both feel very at home and welcome. Having never attempted upholstery, I was soon put at my ease and encouraged throughout, I’ve got the bug now and would recommend this course to anyone. A really fun and relaxing experience and a fantastic and fun tutor (with lots of patience). I was thrilled with my footstool and will be back to try another skill. It was really nice to do something for myself, be spoilt with endless tea and home made cake and two great ladies for company, what’s not to like you must give it a try."

"My day was a birthday gift and who better to share it with but my sister. We had a great day with Jo. She was so informative and patient with us. We took a shabby nest of tables and came away with lovely light, bright tables that look stunning in our conservatory. I would highly recommend this course to anyone. Thanks Jo."

"Had a lovely day with Jo at her workshop. The atmosphere was relaxed and Jo is very helpful with any questions that I asked of her. I learned techniques to start me off painting my own furniture!! The scones were delicious and so was the cake ? would highly recommend!!!"

"What a fantastic day from start to finish. There was such a lovely atmosphere and Jo the instructor was excellent. Jo had so much patience and explained the instructions clearly, with clear demonstrations. Jo was so approachable and friendly; nothing was too much trouble. I have thoroughly enjoyed the day and would highly recommend this course. So much so, I have booked on for a new course which I am looking forward to in a few weeks time. I am so proud of the work that Jo helped me to produce and I am looking forward to practising on them for my next footstool. Get booked on!"

"I went on this day footstool workshop with my daughter. We had a lovely day with 6 other really nice ladies, chatting and eating cake and drinking tea and coffee whilst being guided by the patient and very helpful Jo. It was a very productive day and we were able to take home our fabulous individual footstools. I would highly recommend this day to anyone of all abilities, you will be surprised what you can do after a few hours. My daughter loved it."

"My daughter and I had lovely day at Grappenhall making a footstool. With the help and guidance from Jo, we both made stools to be proud of. What a lovely way to spend a Saturday making something worthwhile to take home. We were with a lovely group of 6 other ladies, and had wonderful time. Thank you so much for the delicious cakes. I would highly recommend this day course."

"A fabulous day making a super gorgeous footstool. The workshop tutored by Jo was excellent - great tuition, support and guidance at a good pace. I was so pleased with my new skills that I’ve ordered equipment and materials to make another, slightly bigger, footstool for another room. My return journey was nearly 200 miles but well worth the trip and I hope to do more of Jo’s courses. Very highly recommended!"

"My daughter and I had a fabulous day yesterday at Grappenhall Heyes, learning to upholster a footstool. Jo was such a great teacher, so helpful and because the group was only 6 lovely ladies, there was lots of one to one time available and nothing too much trouble. Delicious cakes and bottomless tea and coffee! And the best is we all came away with beautiful footstools ?"

"Went on the beginner’s furniture painting course. Lovely location with great food. The course itself was excellent. Jo is a very patient tutor. Methods are clearly explained and demonstrated. Although I had taken a large project I was still able to finish and I was very pleased with the result. I fully recommend this course to everyone."

"I went on a furniture painting level 1 workshop with Jo. I absolutely loved the day, Jo gave me lots of skills and tips how to use techniques such as stencilling, distressing, crackling, waxing and dry brushing to transform an old chair. The environment is lovely and the food very tasty from the cafe. Jo provided drinks and lovely cakes throughout the day. She gave me the confidence to try the techniques and I have definitely got the bug to continue transforming furniture, thank you Jo for a lovely day x"

Then when we worked on our own items she was again busy overseeing and advising us. She was totally unfazed and professional when there was a power issue and her scones were spot on too! Thanks Jo!"
