"Had great day yesterday on Jo’s furniture painting course at Grappenhall gardens. Small group, learnt loads and Jo is so lovely and helpful. Relaxed fun atmosphere and Jo’s mum makes yummy cakes! Wonderful location with beautiful peaceful garden. Highly recommend, will do her DIY course to complete the trilogy having already done the footstool day!"

"I really enjoyed the Beginners Upholstery Workshop. Jo is a lovely lady and very talented, keen to share her knowledge, she helped everyone individually and as a group. It was interesting to learn about all the materials needed for the footstool. Drinks and cakes were provided and I particularly appreciated that they were made dairy free when I mentioned my dietary requirements in advance of the course. Jo's friendliness helped to make it an enjoyable sociable day and I was very pleased and proud of my completed footstool!"

"Had an absolutely fab day at the stunning Boho Shed based in Grappenhall Heys Walled Garden today learning how to make a footstool. Jo made us all feel very welcome and put us at ease straight away. She is very patient and explained everything in a clear and easy to follow way. She explained everything from the choice of fabrics through to the materials needed and tools we would be using. Everything was there ready for us to all create wonderful and individual footstools and I think it is safe to say every one of us left there happy. I would highly recommend and hope to attend another of her courses in the future. Thankyou Jo and thanks to your Mum for lovely cakes !! Louise x"

She made sure everything we needed for the day was provided so it was really good value for money (and convenient). "Jo's knowledge of paints, waxes and the various techniques is vast. She explains things simply and inspires you to have a go yourself on boards she provides for the purpose, before choosing, with her help, how to make the most of your own piece. "I had such a fun day on the DIY and home maintenance workshop. Jo is lovely. Very welcoming, knowledgeable and friendly. It was a nice small group of 4 so it was very easy to get one on one time. I have come away from the workshop feeling confident to start some of the tasks I’ve been reluctant to tackle, such as putting up shelves and sealing gaps in the doorways and skirting boards among other things. I would highly recommend this workshop to anyone."
