"Just attended the footstool upholstery workshop today and had a great time. Everyone made gorgeous creations to take home. Jo is a great teacher passing on lots of knowledge and helpful tips. Small class so plenty of one to one time if you need it. The setting in the park is lovely and the lunch in the cafe was amazing. Definitely recommend you try one of Jo's workshops."

"I attended the furniture painting workshop today Level 1, thank you Jo for another fab day. I loved the upholstery footstool workshop so much I wanted to learn more skills and thats what I did today. I was looking forward to this course and it was more than I expected it to be. I have learned some amazing techniques that I will use on some pieces of furniture I have at home to upcycle. Jo, I keep looking at my chair and thinking wow I did that! Thank you again for all your patience, knowledge and the skills you taught us today and your encouragement to step out of my comfort zone! I met a lovely couple today, so nice meeting like minded people. Can't wait for Level 2 Jo, and the handouts are spot on and a great help in knowing what to buy. I would highly recommend the workshops."

"Myself and my friend have always fancied upcycling furniture but have never been brave enough to have a go so we decided to go on a course to see what it was all about and I'm glad we did. Jo is a fantastic teacher, very good at explaining things and with it being a maximum of 6 people per class she had time to come round and give advice and help to everyone individually. The afternoon tea was to die for and it was lovely to sit and each lunch in such beautiful surroundings' I would recommend any of Jo's courses - we will be attending many more in the coming months Now - where's my paint..."

"Attended a Furniture Painting workshop with Joanne on Sat 27 July 2019 at Cuerden Valley Park. Lovely relaxed but informative workshop with the delightful Joanne who goes out of her way to help individuals as well as supplying lots of general information on how to get the best effects. The location for this workshop is ideal, comfortable and set in a lovely park and the lunch was plentiful and delicious. All in all a really wonderful way to spend a day. Highly recommended and good value for money too! Thanks Joanne, can't wait for the next one."

"I thoroughly enjoyed the workshop. Joanne is very knowledgeable and inspirational. The class was small and everyone had one to one tuition. We all produced fantastic items to take home. I would highly recommend to anyone wanting a new hobby. Just be prepared to get hooked on furniture restoration. Thanks Joanne. Can’t wait for the advanced course."

"I completed the one day furniture painting workshop for beginners on 7th June. It was an excellent day. First class tuition from Jo who took us through several paint techniques step by step. I painted a small side table using the crackle glaze technique, some stencilling and air brushing. I was really impressed with the final result. All materials supplied with a huge choice of colours. I would highly recommend the workshop. Far better than a previous workshop I had attended."

"Just had a fab and fun day at the furniture painting course on 7 June in Grappenhall. Jo is an excellent teacher and very approachable. We learnt lots of new techniques which I can try at home before going on the level 2 course later in the year. It was a great venue, great crowd, great fun and great value. I would recommend this course and Jo to anyone. I'm also looking forward to the upholstery course which I have booked for this summer."

"What a lovely day spent with Joanne and friends. We all made our individual foot stool with our different fabrics, showing just how versatile a foot stool can look. Good banter and clear instructions given by Joanne. Everyone received help as required to complete their foot stool to an excellent standard. Would recommend this course. Also Joanne’s Mum makes the best scones ever. Would love the recipe!! Many thanks for a great time."

"I have just had a great day with Joanne making a foot stool. It was a relaxed and fun way to learn a new skill. Joanne helped us all out and the low numbers on the course meant we could have attention from Joanne to make sure we had a good end product. Add to that her home made cakes and scones, good banter and a new footstool - what a great way to spend a Saturday! Thanks Joanne."

We learnt how to create a distressed look, stencil, how to create the crackling look.
