"My partner and I had the pleasure of attending a DIY & Home Maintenance workshop with Jo a couple of weeks ago. The day went great, we learnt so much in the space of only a few hours and at the end felt so much more confident and empowered about fixing things around the house. The atmosphere was lovely, Jo was very attentive and made sure that each of us knew how to use all the tools properly with good technique. She also provided tea and delicious treats! I would definitely recommend Jo's workshops to anyone who is wanting to broaden their DIY skill set and become more self reliant. She is an excellent teacher! 😊"

"I attended the furniture painting workshop in Cheadle. It was a lovely workshop! Jo was thorough, touched on key techniques and, had boards for practicing and testing techniques which was one of the most helpful things for me! She’s a gem a of person, always there to guide and was very supportive when we got round to painting our piece of furniture! There was also lots of tea and cake which tied in so well with the beautiful day. I look forward to attending again and learning other techniques and also attending the diy workshop! So glad my hubby booked this for me because I might never have gotten round it otherwise!"

"I would definitely recommend this course to anyone! very informative and hands on experience, a good overview of different areas you might need to do any diy bits . you come away feeling very empowered to give stuff a go . Its hard to find anything in person for this kind of crash course so it's a great resource . the host is lovely and welcoming and the cakes were delicious :) "

"Painting workshop. A beautiful venue at the walled garden, an amazing host, scrumptious homemade cakes...what more do you need? Well, as it happens fantastic day learning new skills and techniques accompanied by others with the same mindsets, happy to share ideas and experiences of renovations. A most enjoyable day. Jo's knowledge, expertise and above all honesty about products was very much appreciated. She ensured everyone had her 1:1 attention, advice and encouragement when creating their own piece. "Very good introduction to various aspects of DIY. I learnt that you can use drill bits in an electric screwdriver for a number of jobs, which I wasn't aware of - so that was a great help. "I attended a DIY course with the Boho Shed. The course was delivered by a warm and friendly lady called Jo who has lots of practical experience. The material was easy to follow and there was no fear of asking those seemingly dumb questions which were answered patiently by Jo. I would highly recommend this course for the novice or for people who want to reinforce their self confidence when tackling their own DIY. The added bonus was the beautiful cakes and tea/coffee that was available throughout the day. The course was held at the Cheadle Drill Hall. I live out of the area but found the venue easily and had no difficulty parking. Thank you, Jo, for a Sunday well spent!"

"I had a fabulous, informative day learning and trying out paint techniques with Jo at The Boho Shed. Jo was friendly, welcoming and shared her extensive personal knowledge of the paint types, techniques and tips. I’d done a fair bit of painting before but learnt a lot and got to try out new techniques with the close support of Jo. The course was in beautiful surroundings too and I had a lovely lunch at the cafe next door. Jo treated us throughout to home made cakes, closely supported our projects and ensured we had everything to hand. Highly recommend to beginners or those wanting to try out some new furniture painting techniques."

"I absolutely loved this day and was actually disappointed when it finished for the day. Jo manages to cover a huge span of techniques without the learning process seeming rushed and provides notes to take home which helps cement them. She creates a relaxed but fun vibe to the class and you will take home a piece of furniture that you can love and be proud of. I highly recommend trying it if you have even a smattering of interest in furniture painting or upcycling. "
