My love of woodcraft was due to a meeting with a guitarist friend who had made an acoustic guitar. We talked about his guitar for many hours and I thought it would be a challenge for me to have a go! Well that was 6 years ago and now in 2023 I am in a small workshop in Stoke where I build various instruments. The Strumstick instrument build is a great way to get to grips with fine woodworking and is an ideal step towards acoustic guitar building. No experience in woodwork is needed.
"Had a fantastic time today making a footstool!
Booked the course with the wife since we both had zero woodworking experience beforehand and this looked like a good place to start, while being a fun day.
Ted was absolutely brilliant, he talked us through the various steps, helped us out when things didn't quite go as planned (which when you've not used the tools before, will happen) and just generally made the day one to remember!
We would highly recommend the course and would definitely book another in the future.
Many thanks again to Ted!"

"Cheers Keith
Your skills are very good indeed and if you ever want to come back your welcome.
Take your time on the joints and the results will be great and send me a photo of any work you do in future.
Kind regards Ted PS. get those chisels sharp :-) "
