Description
This course is a fun way to learn how to use the scroll saw to make a wooden name of your choice . We will first lay out the letters on paper then glue the paper to the wood. We next cut out the drawing with the scroll saw making sure to get on the line or very near. We then cut out any middles of lettering and clean up the name ready for finishing oil. You can now take home your work for all to see.

My love of woodcraft was due to a meeting with a guitarist friend who had made an acoustic guitar. We talked about his guitar for many hours and I thought it would be a challenge for me to have a go! Well that was 6 years ago and now in 2023 I am in a small workshop in Stoke where I build various instruments. The Strumstick instrument build is a great way to get to grips with fine woodworking and is an ideal step towards acoustic guitar building. No experience in woodwork is needed.
