Nicola Barclay reviewed: Beautiful Batik on Fabric in Hampshire.

"My son and I had a lovely day at the Batik course. We received clear instructions at the beginning and each subsequent stage. Alison was encouraging about our work whilst also suggesting ways we could develop it further. Alison and Liz were friendly and professional and, even though it was a blustery day, the location still looked stunning. . We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend a course here. My daughter and I are hoping to attend the wirework course next year (having heavily hinted to husband/dad as a Christmas present). "

Denise Hill reviewed: Glass Fusing for Beginners - Tealight Holders mini workshop

"If there were 10 stars I would award them. I had an absolutely fabulous day. I found Mike and Jenny (especially) so friendly, helpful, generous with their time, and I produce work to a standard I would not have thought possible. Jenny was very informative, certainly knows what she is talking about and her encouragement was so good. I will definitely be going back to do more. I doubt it will be this year unfortunately as I am going into hospital for a knee replacement. Mike was very accomading in regards to my day of attendance, as the hospital messed me about a bit changing my date. How pleased I was to get in to do the tealights before hospital. Mike has also offered to post to me if I cannot get in to collect them. The range of art and crafts they offer for learning new skills is fantastic. I would encourage anyone to go they will not be disappointed. My grateful thanks Jenny and Mike. "

Vitreus Art responded:

"Hi Denise, It was our pleasure sharing our skills with you and helping you create something you can enjoy. We think you did a great job, for your first time at glass fusing. All were lovely, but I particularly like the little beach hut! Your pieces will be going into the kiln soon and we will let you know when they are ready. We're certainly happy to post them to you under the circumstance. We wish you a speedy recovery from your operation, and hope to see you again in the studio sometime next year. All the very best, Jenny & Mike Vitreus Art"

"This is a gem of a course and Elizabeth’s knowledge, skill and enthusiasm is outstanding. I had the most enlightening and educational three days of talking, making and understanding the skill in making gloves. Combined with her incredible passion for gloves Elizabeth has a style of teaching which is relaxed and focussed and moves at the pace of each individual on the course. I cannot recommend this course enough, it has transformed my understanding of how gloves are made and inspired me to take it much further. "

Simon Smith reviewed: Mig Welding For Beginners Introductory Day Course.

"Fantastic one day course that got me up and running with MIG welding having never done it before. Tony is an exceptional trainer, combining the technical and practical aspects of welding, from how the machine works and should be set up to the techniques for different joints and the hand eye coordination required to perfect the weld. We practiced seam welds for a variety of joint types, diagnosing how to improve after each one. Being 1 to 1, you get all of Tony’s attention and feedback on each piece throughout the day. I had considered evening classes but this was a much better option for me, being intensive and personal tuition. Progression was rapid and I now know how to improve through my own practice and self assessment of each weld. I’ve attached a photo of one of my better examples from the day. Thoroughly recommend. Simon . "

Newport Wrought Ironwork responded:

"Hi Simon, I am pleased that you enjoyed the course and will continue welding in the future. Any issues or questions please feel free to contact me. Regards Tony "
