Trish Waddell reviewed: Hand Spinning For All - Norfolk

"Loved my day at The Spotty Pig Farm!!! Theresa was very knowledgeable and was able to answer my many questions. I had some experience with spindle spinning, but got to learn on two different spinning wheels! I came away with two hanks of yarn and I will certainly be following through with more spinning! I wish the weather had not been so blustery so I could have met some of the sheep, goats, chickens, etc. When I get back to the UK, I will certainly return for more learning."

Trish Edwards reviewed: Beaded jewellery making workshops with Angela Smith

"What a fantastic way to spend a snowy January afternoon and to get to grips with post-Christmas blues. Angela taught me how to make a floating necklace and for someone who is so inept at craft work, (me!), she did an amazing job, helping me to deal with any tricky bits - but don't worry there really weren't many. I was thrilled with the end result of a beautiful floating necklace and was able to give it to my mum as a birthday present, appreciated fully because it was hand-made with lots of thought and effort having gone into it. I was so impressed with Angela's patience and clear instruction that I later booked her to come into my school where I am Headteacher, to deliver an end of year workshop to our Y6s. They thoroughly enjoyed working with Angela and making some keepsake bracelets as a memory of their time at Primary school. Would highly recommend Angela's courses -really enjoyable and very therapeutic. Trish Edwards"

Rachael Olley reviewed: Beaded jewellery making workshops with Angela Smith

"I LOVED this course and it kick-started me on the road to making my own jewellery so I am very grateful to Angela for that :) I am not very talented when it comes to crafts, not being all that practical but Angela explained everything well and was on hand to help. There was a large selection of beads to choose from and it was fun to create something unique and I also found it very relaxing, thank you Angela :)"

Tracey Nixon reviewed: Beaded jewellery making workshops with Angela Smith

"A great way to 'switch off' and concentrate on something wonderful, relaxing and beneficial, as you get to take away something you are proud of. A wonderful variety of beads to choose from and you get left to your own devices, or Angela is there every step of the way. She doesn't even care if you swear when you can't do the fiddly bits!!, hee hee. You get to understand why Angela does this all the time ... all you want to do is get your creative juices flowing, and make more. Highly recommended for anyone, of any age."

Jesa was a brilliant and patient teacher, the workshop was well equipped and lovely and light in a beautiful setting and the class size small so you get lots of individual attention. I was thrilled with the two pieces I made and I would recommend this course to anyone interested in dipping their toe into the world of jewellery making. Jan Cole reviewed: Glass Fusing Workshop

"What an exciting day we had. A group of 6 of us went on a one day workshop and made 3 pieces of glass art and 3 pieces of jewellery. We were amazed at how each of us made such a variety of styles and colours. Annie helped us all enormously. Lunch was provided making it a really good day out and we now go back about 4 times a year and have learned a lot of different techniques. Can't recommend this workshop enough"

Joss Goodhew reviewed: Longbow making - two days

"I had three days with Now Strike Archery making a Longbow and some arrows and I absolutely loved it. To make my own bow and arrow has been a dream ever since childhood. So take a high quality Longbow and arrows home with you to cherish and admire for many years is fantastic. As well as making the bow and arrows you learn so many interesting facts and allot of history around Archers. You really never stop learning during the course. All testament to the hugely friendly and attentive team at Now Strike Archery. A huge thank you to Tom for all the skills and knowledge I learned from him as well as his generosity with his own time to ensure I completed the brilliant items I made. The team at Now Strike archery are friendly, attentive, full of passion and knowledge in there field which made them a pleasure to work with. They supply you with all the Tea and Coffee you need as well as a great selection of sandwiches for lunch. I would highly recommend this course to anyone that enjoys working with there hands. Especially if you enjoy working with wood and definitely if you have any interest in archery and the history of the English Longbow."

sue miller reviewed: Handspinning workshop

"Had a crazy idea to try to spin dog fuzz, tried with a drop spindle, oh boy then i needed a wheel and now a teacher & i found very knowledgeable friendly teachers within both Diane and a her brother Phil. Phil was so helpful with my own wheel. I had brought my wheel 2nd hand knowing that it had been a working wheel for about 60 years, but had not been used for the best part of the last 20!! Before too long i was off spinning myself, excellent day coffee on arrival, fun learning to spin by a small group inc 1 gentleman. A lunch with tea was a nice break before we started our 2nd "spool" following that we plyed our efforts. I would throughly recommend you to try with diane as she is such a relaxed teacher with the patients of a saint at times!! Thank you for a most enjoyable time."

"A very big thank you to Bill for sharing his skill, knowledge and experience with me. I love the way that Bill showed me the steps and techniques I needed in the crafting of leather. His excellent teaching style allowed me to learn the techniques without losing focus. I have gained new skills, knowledge and leather-craft vocabulary. Bill is very patient and has a wealth of knowledge, which he generously shared with me. As a result I came away with a few leather goods that I had hand crafted which, he taught me from design to production all within two days. Words cannot express how grateful i am to Bill. Alan Rashbrook reviewed: An introduction to wood turning with Gregory Moreton (2 Days)

"This course was a birthday gift to me from my children and turned out to be one of the best. Not only did I learn an enormous amount, but Gregory's style of teaching and encouraging manner I am sure helped me perform better than I ever expected. A very worthwhile course that was extremely enjoyable and has enthused me to take this 'wood turning thing' further in the future."
