Alan Holleran reviewed: Wood carving and Love Spoons

"Sharon Littley is one of those people you meet, who changes your life. It's just like magic, seeing her guide a class of students, (Some of whom have never held a chisel before. ) all creating different carvings under her tutorage, whilst thoroughly enjoying the process and ending the course with their own carved masterpiece."

Matthew Wilde reviewed: Basket making in Norfolk

"This was a Fantastic course. I booked as part of a Gap year and I found it very enjoyable and informative and it has got me fired up for more. Julie is a brilliant teacher, making sure every one gets help but letting you do everything yourself so it becomes properly ingrained, enabling you to go away with the confidence to do more on your own; Especially after seeing the standard of baskets we produced, very pleased. I would recommend this course to everyone."

Issy Bryars reviewed: Introduction to Green Wood Furniture Making - 2 Day Course in South Devon

"This is more than a course in woodworking, the venue is lovely, the workshop is tucked away deep in the Devon countryside, the tools were plentiful and great quality and locally sourced wood a joy to work with. Peters softly spoken instruction and vast experience guided us all to create something practical, beautiful and very personal. Totally absorbing and addictive we will be back to try our hand at a table. This is just the beginning...... Thank you Peter."

Denise & Ellie reviewed: Mosaic one day workshop for adults with Caroline Jariwala, Birmingham

"This was a most enjoyable day and a really nice mother/daughter activity to share. Caroline is a very welcoming host and generous with her time and materials. I don't see myself as very creative or artistic so was pleasantly surprised to take home such a lovely mosaic - easily good enough to give as a gift for Christmas. I have already bought a few bits and pieces ready to begin my next mosaic. Many thanks, Caroline, for passing on your skills and enthusiasm and starting me off on what I'm sure will be an exciting and rewarding hobby!"

Rebekah Horner reviewed: Upholstery/cushion making

"I had a 1900's small sofa that was in desperate need of a makeover. I took it to Jo's class to learn how to recover/upholster it. It turn out fabulously. Jo was on hand to advise and assist throughout the day and explained and demonstrated things clearly. I picked up a number of new skills and would feel quite confident in having a go at another piece of furniture on my own. The class is nice and relaxed and is excellent value for money. Totally recommend it!"

Vicky O'Leary reviewed: Basket making in Norfolk

"What a fabulous way to spend a day! I would recommend this to anyone, you don't need to have had any previous experience and Julie is so patient with everyone. I am delighted with my basket and can't quite believe I actually made it. The structure of the day is very good and we were all able to work at our own pace, everything was explained in good detail and anything we didn't quite get, Julie explained it again and was happy to do so. The cake was delicious! Thanks again for a brilliant day and I will be booking again."

Joseph reviewed: Basket making in Norfolk

"I booked the course for myself and my girlfriend as a fifth anniversary surprise. And what a great way to spend the day! Julie is a very patient and kind teacher, and goes through all the stages of making your very own basket clearly. With a class size of only six there was plenty of scope for one-on-one assistance where it was needed. The home made cake was delicious too. My girlfriend and I were really happy with our finished baskets and can't wait to have a go at making more! Would definitely recommend to others."

"Thanks to Gaynor and her wonderful girls we gained the skills to make a beautiful bag in just two days. The studio is wonderful and very inspiring, we laughed, learnt, and ate cake as well as acquiring so many skills! I would recommend this course to anyone with good basic craft skills, Gaynor is excellent at letting each student work at there own pace with just the right amount of input to keep your confidence going. We are counting the months until we can come back for the next course."

Gary Brown reviewed: Basket making in Norfolk

"A fantastic day - Julie is very knowledgable about her craft and is a superbly patient and attentive teacher. Limiting the numbers to six is an excellent idea as Julie was able to keep an eye on everyone and give help where and when needed. The pace was just right and the format very relaxed. Cake was good too! Thoroughly recommended! Would definitely do more courses with Julie."

Dom Kavanagh reviewed: Mosaic one day workshop for adults with Caroline Jariwala, Birmingham

"First time mosaicing after being inspired by Caroline's superb work on display at Heartlands Hospital. Her workshop was great fun, well organised and it was great to be able to have a finished piece to take home on the day - a 'honey badger at night'. Caroline's got infectious enthusiasm and great selection of tiles and bits and bobs to work with. Her written notes to take home too were really helpful! A great day and so pleased to have finally produced my own piece as a result, due to well-structured workshop, with nice company. :-)"

Maggie reviewed: Felt a landscape

"A really enjoyable day. Sarah`s passion for all things felt is infectious! She is a very patient teacher who provides support and encouragement every step of the way. Sarah brought a fantastic selection of wool and we were very much like children in a sweet shop trying to decide on our colours ! Everyone on the course was really friendly and it was great to see all of the finished articles. Some wonderful hats from the more experienced attendees and a fab selection of bags of many colours from the rest of us. I would thoroughly recommend Sarah`s workshops and will definitely be joining her again."

Nigel from Tyneside reviewed: Five day woodwork course - wood

"Course 2 has proved to be more challenging, as one would expect. Just like before Richard and Mark were excellent. They are undoubtedly excellent cabinet makers, but on these courses it is their ability to help you develop your skills which is invaluable. Their love of wood and what they do is infectious. From start to finish it was brilliant fun and after the second day I found myself phoning home to chat to my better half and realising that I had a grin like a cheshire cat. If you are interested in developing your cabinetmaking skills then this course is a must."

Nigel from Tyneside reviewed: Five day woodwork course - tools

"Having recently attended the level 1 course I have to say that it was excellent. With classes of a maximum of 4, the course was not only informative, but incredible fun. Richard and Mark are incredibly knowledgeable which not only enabled them to teach the more experienced members of our group, but also patient enough to nurture the novices. If you are thinking of doing this course my advice would be...just do it, you won’t regret it."
