"I have thoroughly enjoyed all the courses at Blacksmith Shop Crafts. The tuition is excellent which ever new skill I'm trying to learn. The atmosphere is peaceful and friendly and always includes a home cooked tasty 3 course lunch. The wire hare day was brilliant and my hare has been very much admired."

"I have nothing but praise for Louise who was the perfect teacher. I came away from the class with a lot of knowledge which was taught in a very natural way so I felt guided rather than pushed. We had lots of options,were never rushed, and provided with gallons of coffee/tea. A wonderful experience which I hope to repeat as soon as possible."

"My daughter and I have just spent the day with Sally Ann where she taught us how to willow weave and make a stags head. Sally Ann is the most wonderful of teachers, she was soooo thorough and interesting, humourous, patient and kind. Her lemon drizzle cake was perfect too. ? We had the most enjoyable of days where we learnt not just the craft work but also history of the craft and the willow. I can't imagine a course anywhere being so perfect, in every way. A big thank you to Sally Ann for sharing her talent and skills with us. We're hooked and can't wait to come again learn more!"

"My friend and I were joined by a third lady for a very personalised introduction to silver jewellery making. The day was filled with lots of information, explanation and practical activities, I made a beautiful ring. Jonathan was very enthusiastic and paced the workshop very well. He was also very generous in sharing lots of extra information, including a wallet full of information to take away. The hospitality was excellent with unlimited refreshments and a delicious lunch. Many Thanks..... I will be back."

"I surprised my girlfriend with a birthday present of a trip to Bristol and a glass-bead making course with Cat, which was a fantastic experience I would definitely recommend to others! Right from the moment I contacted Cat asking about the content of the beginners course, how suitable it would be for us, which dates she was available etc. she was so friendly and accommodating, even allowing us to shift the dates back due to unforeseen circumstances. We were treated to a brilliant 6 hours of bead making, starting with familiarisation with the glass rods, the torch and other basic techniques and before lunch we had even made our own beads. Cat is incredibly knowledgeable and experienced but also very patient and made it a thoroughly enjoyable day for both of us! The beads look amazing but the experience itself surpassed all expectations. Thanks Cat!"

"I've just spent a most enjoyable day making a huge willow heron! I never imagined I'd be able to create something so fabulous in a day, having never done any willow weaving before. Kate was very patient, explained everything clearly and was always on hand for advice and to help with all the tricky bits. A really fun day with lovely people. Highly recommended!!"

Louise allowed us to use the wheel which we were very pleased with and gave us brilliant advise and instructions. It was a very relaxed environment and we were able to use our own creativity throughout the lesson. I would highly recommend this to everybody- no matter how skilled in pottery they are."

My friend and I had booked the course in February as we found we were both interested in knowing more about jewellery making, it did not disappoint! An incredibly informative, relaxed, and productive day all round...I came away with a lovely ring and a cheeky little piece of dreadlocks jewellery:o) A constant flow of coffee and a fantastic lunch was more than I was expecting....so friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend this."

"I was given the gift of a two day silkscreen printing course with Caroline Davidson. It is one of the best presents I've ever received. With excellent instructions we were able to enjoy creating a design which we printed on fabric and then added colour to. Caroline tailored her instructions and advice to our different abilities and needs. It was a relaxed, fun two days. We were provided with endless tea and biscuits and scrumptious lunches. I can't wait to book another course!"

"I have just had a fabulous two days with Caroline. I attended a course with my goddaughter, so that she could be inspired and I could have time out doing something creative - and it worked completely! In two days, we produced something to be proud of, under the clear and brilliant instruction of Caroline, and in the beautiful environment of her home and garden. We also enjoyed delicious lunches, endless cups of tea and biscuits, and interesting conversation. It was a very relaxed environment, which was great for when you are doing that first print! We enjoyed every minute and would like to do it again. Definitely highly recommended."

"Starting with the basic techniques of using the right tools in the correct way, Miranda guides you to a level where you can 'lisen' to the stone to know you are hitting it correctly. She helps you to achieve your design idea with just the right amount of help. The others in the group are a great bunch and we have lots of laughs and interesting discussions while we 'bash' away. We work outdoors when it is fine weather and can make as much mess as we like but there is an indoor studio if it gets too wet or cold. Anyone wanting to learn something new with exercise ,fresh air and good company, this is the course for you!"
