John reviewed: Wood turning courses

"A very enjoyable and rewarding day . Firstly, thank you for welcoming me into your home. Secondly, thank you also for putting your faith in me to be able to work with the Mulberry wooden blank and for passing on your years of knowledge and experience. It was an extremely rewarding day and you will be pleased to know that my bowl has taken pride of place at home. Could you also pass on my thanks to Susan for keeping me topped up with tea and for providing a delicious lunch."

William Totten reviewed: Five day woodwork course - tools

"I attended this course just a couple of weeks ago and I thought it was truly excellent. It was one of the best weeks I've had in a long while. Richard is a great teacher (you can tell he's been doing it for years) and Mark and Jay provide fantastic support. If you have an interest in working with wood I'm sure you'll find this course extremely satisfying - as I did. Thanks again guys. Hopefully see you on course 2."

Susanna reviewed: Introduction to Leather Craft

"This is a great introduction course to take if you have no, or a little, knowledge of the craft of working with leather. Bill is a wonderful teacher; extremely knowledgeable, patient, and humorous. The weekend passed very quickly but so much was learnt in the time frame. It was an all round great experience and I would most definitely recommend it to anymore wishing to learn about leather craft."

Lorraine reviewed: One day Mosaic workshop Moon Hare Studio, Devon

"What a lovely way to spend an afternoon, just like a child in a sweet shop, with a large range of tiles and bits and bobs( shiny things) to put on your mosaic. Very relaxed atmosphere. You get choice of different shapes boards for you to mosaic, although I had decided before I went I wanted to do a door number, she was able to give me some weather proof board, so pleased with the result. I would recommend this short course to anyone, if like me you just want to take a bit of time out or maybe you want to take it up as a new hobby."

Matt F. reviewed: Make a Windsor chair

"What a great way to spend a series of evenings! Learning new skills, using only hand tools, with like minded people and a patient, knowledgeable teacher. Incredible! The beautiful hand finished chair is a great result. My toddler has found her new perch and loves sitting on the chair and feling its texture. I may have to return to finish a set... A great gift to give or course to complete in the heart of Crystal Palace. I couldn't recommended Ben's course enough."

Jean Fenton reviewed: Nuno felt a silk scarf in fine merino wools and silks with Judi Binks

"I was the tutor for this event and would like say that the organiser was first class and the day ran beautifully. The premises and facilities were great and the students were all really keen and attentive. They made brilliant felt and everyone seemed to enjoy the day very much; there was a happy and friendly atmosphere. The pricing was really great value and many other places and organisations that i teach for charge far more. The organiser made sure everyone felt comfortable and confident and it was a lot of fun. A big thank you for inviting me to teach and well done to each and every student - you were awesome!"

Each step was explained well and we all left the session with fantastic pictures and pots that left us wanting to do more. We were spoilt for choice with the amount and different types of materials to use, and encouraged to experiment. I'd thoroughly recommend these sessions to anyone who enjoys 'arty/crafty' lessons."

"What an absolutely fantastic day. Aaron is the consummate professional craftsman and educator and is an absolute delight to both watch and be guided by. If you are a maker of any kind or simply enjoy learning new skills, this course is a must for the to-do list. I will be taking what I've learned over the course of the day into my professional life as a prop maker and will certainly hope to return to Steele Avenue one day if only just to watch a master at work. Many, many thanks and kindest regards to all involved Martin M"
