amanda steele reviewed: An Introduction to Spoon Carving

"A great day was spent with Adrian in his barn ! We discussed woods, tools, and techniques in detail. We drank coffee, ate fresh homemade cakes, and then got down to the job of turning a lump of birch into a spoon, stopping to discuss methods and technique or possible problems we may encounter as we went along. Lunch provided was another homemade delight, I left at the end of the day with my birch eating spoon taking shape and feeling inspired and empowered to have a go myself ... Hoping to return one day to play on lathes ! Great day."

Dafydd Powell reviewed: A Practical Introduction to Woodland Restoration and Management

"I attended the course in February of 2018 and thoroughly enjoyed the day. Phil was very friendly and easy to get along with from the beginning. The course provided a great mix of practical and theory in an amazing setting. We walked through the woodland to begin with and had a great conversation about nearly everything the woodland had to offer. We then began coppicing near the river and had lunch by the fire. I certainly learnt a lot about coppicing and certified the knowledge I already had. I also had the opportunity to do some greenwood crafts with the wood we cut down earlier in the day and I made two attempts at making a spatula. I would recommend this course to anyone with an interest in coppicing with any level of prior knowledge. I hope to return to the wood in the future to see your progress!"

Nikki Pop reviewed: Sun printing workshop in Devon

"I did the Sun Printing course on Saturday 24th March 2018. The course was such an enlightening experience for me, being a non artist ( I struggle with a straight line ) everything was clearly explained, Bridget even had a stand for the Sun that failed to appear all day! I achieved 5 pieces of work during the day and was so pleased with the results, I've already put my name down for another course and am starting to make a collection of goods so I can try my hand alone now that I have been given such a wonderful grounding in the art of Sun Printing. Thanks again Bridget x"

Evelyne reviewed: Two day needle felting a wired armature animal

"I did the two day workshop at Blue Ginger Gallery, Malvern, and started as a complete beginner. Karin gave excellent step-by-step instructions to get us started with the wire armature and first filling stages then let us carry on at our own speed. She shared her wealth of expertise generously and gave as much or little help as was requested. I was delighted with what I was able to achieve by the end of the second day and certainly feel confident enough to have a go myself with more projects. It was a treat of a weekend - lovely company, relaxed atmosphere, absorbing creative projects and an excellent tutor."

Lynsey Rollins reviewed: Fused Glass Half Day

"I was bought this workshop session as a Christmas gift from my husband who knows I love anything crafty! I really enjoyed the session and made a lovely piece of glass art which is now standing in my lounge. There is a huge range of lovely things to do and Julie carefully guides you through the options. I have done lots of craft sessions over the years and thoroughly enjoyed this 1-2-1. I am sure I will be back to make something else. I will be recommending it to others."

Carol Kelly reviewed: Stained glass for beginners | Lead lights

"Wonderful introduction to the world of leaded stained glass. David is a natural born teacher with great enthusiasm for his subject. Very approachable and supportive and keeps calm when his students get into a panic (which I did :-)). I am so pleased with the panel he helped me to make; it feels like a real achievement and has given me the confidence to go forward and try it on my own. A word of advice to any prospective students, keep the design simple as there is so much to learn about the techniques involved and enjoy."

"A very enjoyable one day workshop making a fabulous leather and canvas tote bag. Rosanna was wonderfully welcoming and accommodating while skillfully guiding me through working with leather for the first time. I also appreciated Rosanna's flexibility both before the workshop (needed to change the date) and during the making process. A great day out added to by a delicious cafe next door!"

Sue Morrison reviewed: One day leather bag making workshop

"I made the cross body two tone bag and had a great day out. Rosanna was very practical and inspiring and the finished product is as good as anything I could buy. The cost is very reasonable and Rosanna was very accommodating when I needed to change the date at the last minute. A bonus is an excellent cafe within the same lovely setting."

Jane Colman reviewed: From fleece to fibre 2-day spinning workshop

"I thoroughly enjoyed the 2 day fleece to fibre spinning course, it is exactly what I needed. I have my own wheel which Elaine suggested I bring along to work on, she even showed me how to look after it and set it up properly for me. Elaine is so knowledgeable and explains everything really well. I had been overspinning my yarn but by the end of the 2 days I had made 2 pretty good skeins of my very own, one was even stripey! The days were very relaxed with a lovely lunch. The only criticism is the days went far too quick!"

Lesley Coles reviewed: One day Mosaic workshop Moon Hare Studio, Devon

"As a beginner I learnt so much on this course. Adela was very welcoming and put me at ease. An excellent teacher who shared her expertise. There was a lot of information in the hand-out, as well as shown and explained throughout the class. We had a huge variety of materials to choose from to make our pieces and equipment was provided for us to use. A wonderful class and an inspiration to do more. Thank you."

Julie McCoy reviewed: One day silver jewellery making in Worcestershire.

"It's hard to imagine a more beautiful and inspiring setting for this workshop aboard the silver jewellery boat! I have never attempted to make jewellery before but by the end of the day I had learnt how to make a gorgeous pair of silver earrings ... in addition to making chains and celtic swirls. One to one tuition and plenty of encouragement made this a great day ... highly recommended."
