"Just returned after a day with Angela on a one-to-one course to make a pair of jeans. I found it particularly instructive in learning how to cut a pattern from an existing pair of jeans, which will give me confidence to try this at home. I enjoyed working with Angela in sewing it all together. It was a lovely day working in an Aladdin's cave of jeans, denim, other materials and haberdashery and excellent value for money."

"Just wanted to say thank you to Richard. Made my own tote bag yesterday. Loved Richard's passion and his explanation about the leather and the dyeing processes. I also learnt a lot about the leather tools and what they were used for. We received a key ring and information pack which will be very useful. I will definitely sign up again to make something else."

It has once again been an inspirational experience generating so many creative ideas that I cannot wait to return and also attempt something at home. His positive and relaxed teaching approach, together with the calm studio setting including ‘clucking chickens’ makes his courses irresistible."

"The three days we have spent at the Phoenix Studios making things from wire with James Ort just couldn't have been better. With his artwork around us and delightful students the weekend was full of inspiration and fun. You can be a complete beginner and still make something to be proud of. James will give everyone the help that they need to make even the biggest struggles pleasurable. I would recommend the course."

It was a fantastic enjoyable way to spend a few hours & make some lovely products. Jo made me feel welcome & no question was considered to be too stupid! I would really recommend this course & the lunch provided by the tea-shop downstairs was lovely - accommodating to my unfortunate dietary requirements. Thanks Jo for a fab day. :-)"

"I enjoyed every moment, the facilities are excellent and you are made to feel welcome from the start... The glass work that Steve produces is beautiful and inspiring, he is so generous with his knowledge. Steve is a patient tutor, who makes time for everyone in the group sharing his time as equally as possible. I was encouraged to experiment with my ideas and push my creativity, which allowed me to produce several pieces of glass to take home. Thanks for a great day and igniting a real passion for this beautiful art !!!"

"I combined a 2 day workshop with Mel, with a holiday, even staying in her adjoining self catering accommodation. It was great to just walk across the grass to her well equipped studio leaving my husband to potter around in the cabin while I played with wax. Mel was welcoming, enthusiastic and knowledgeable and was free with her advice, sharing her skills and extensive know how gained during her professional work. She is very talented and I came away with enough ideas to set me off when I get home. The days were jam packed with activity and Mick produced lovely lunch. Would thoroughly recommend Mel and her courses."

"What a fantastic half-day my Sister and I had at Amanda's studio! We started with an introduction to the different types of glass and how they can be used to create different effects, followed by a demonstration of glass cutting techniques and plenty of time to practice. We then paused for a lovely cream tea, which gave us a chance to chat about what we were planning to make and how, before it was back to the studio to get stuck in! We both made a coaster-sized piece and a larger, hanging piece, which Amanda fused for us after the workshop and then sent on. All pieces have arrived beautifully wrapped and in tact and we are so pleased with them - can't recommend this course enough!"
