Kay reviewed: DELETE-Business Course in Traditional & Modern Upholstery (Taster Day)

"After comparing various courses, I definitely feel that I made the right choice in choosing Sarah Wood Upholstery. Sarah’s calm and relaxed manner helps build confidence in the craft, she is both a patient and a natural teacher who draws from her years of experience and provides teaching methods sourced from various proven scholars of upholstery. I particularly value all the tips and advice that go beyond the pages of the books. The sessions are restricted to a maximum of 3 students, this being a huge positive compared to other course providers. The flexibility in completing the course was also hugely beneficial, particularly when balancing family commitments. Sarah has designed a course which I feel will confidently prepare me in my new chosen career path. I have already completed my first commission, which was as a direct result of a referral by Sarah. I couldn’t recommend this course enough, the workroom is located within a lovely farm in Cambridgeshire and fab lunches are always provided."

Breda Fitzgerald reviewed: One day stained glass workshop London for beginners and enthusiasts

"A truly wonderful course. Over the course of 4 weeks I completed a beautiful stained glass table top. My champagne table as Tejal called it! Tejal is so knowledgeable about her craft and put me at ease with any concerns I had. I really loved my course and will return to do more. Thank you so much!"

Marianne reviewed: Basic electrical course - part 1

"I really enjoyed this course. The only electrics "experience" I've ever had was in school physics classes! David explained things really well and allowed me to ask lots of questions about things I wanted to do in my home. I'm attending more of his courses soon."

Christabel Fanucci reviewed: Natural skincare workshops at Touch of Beauty (half day)

"This was a brilliant course, booked by a friend. The whole time with with Sue was very informative and relaxed, we learnt a great deal about making home skincare, which I will try to do at home and came away with a goody bag, filled with the lovely things we’d made. Will definitely be booking to go back for the facial skincare course. Lovely to have meet you Sue."

Touch of Beauty responded:

I`m glad you enjoyed yourselves whilst making your own goodies to take home and that it gave you a little taster for all the lovely natural ingredients available. I look forward to seeing you again at another workshop. Thank you again. Sue"

Tim Wilson reviewed: Creative Vibe - Glassblowing Sessions

"I bought a beginner glass blowing course for my wife’s birthday. Booking was easy and the day itself was fabulous. Ricky was an amazing teacher who took great time and care to work with the students to create their pieces. The care and attention continued afterwards when finalising the pieces for dispatch to her to ensure they were just as as my wife wanted. I would advise anyone considering a Creative Vibe Glassblowing course not to hesitate."

Lynda and Jen reviewed: Marvellous Mosaic one day workshop

"Our day at Lindseys friendly, relaxed workshop, was brilliant. We were so pleased with the lovely mosaics we made, and found Lindsey to be an excellent tutor, very informative, helpful and encouraging. We now feel inspired, and confident enough, to start making creations at home. The lemon drizzle cake, made by Lindsey‘s mum, was a real treat!"

Gavin reviewed: Beginners Pottery Day Course

"I did a one day wheel throwing session with Matthew recently. It was an excellent day. It was fairly intensive, which is exactly what we wanted and we got quite a bit more done than we expected. I'd not gone near a potter's wheel before and would have been happy with anything vaguely resembling a pot, so I was a tad sceptical of Matthew's claims that we would get a range of finished wares made that day that we could use in the home. The instruction was top-notch however and I was really pleased with the half a dozen pots and jugs I made on the day. Matthew is a very capable instructor, whose passion for his craft really comes out in the way he teaches. The day is well structured and very practical; quick coffee then straight into the clay, all hands on, all day. I would not hestitate to recommend this course to anyone who wants a really practical, enjoyable introduction to wheel throwing."

Dimbleby Ceramics - Studio Pottery Courses responded:

"Hi Gavin, Thank you for your kind review, I had a great teaching both of you and seeing you both achieve so much in just one day. I just wanted to let you know that your pots are now ready to collect. Best wishes Mathew"

Nicki Glen reviewed: Jewellery making experience day (weekdays)

""It was a great day. Working with Karen was a really good experience. It gave me confidence in using the materials and using the machinery, which is quite daunting if you have not used it for a long time or used it at all. So, I think whether you are a beginner or building on existing skills Karen adjusts her style and her support depending on what you need. It is a really good day to come out with a finished item when you started out with a very rough sketch in a book. It is just really good to have that professional support. The food at lunch was brilliant. And Karen keeps you to time. It is a lovely day and well worth doing. Thank you." Nicki Glen"

KFD Jewellery responded:

"Thank you Nicki. It was lovely that decided to book the course on your actual birthday. I enjoyed spending time with you in my workshop for the day."

Victoria reviewed: Introduction to Furniture Restoration at Craven Conservation

"I had a beginner’s upholstery course as a Christmas present, working on a footstool one to one with Bill. It was a great course, well planned and prepared, and Bill is a superb teacher, relaxed, friendly and knowledgeable. I’ve had a great time chatting and learning. Bill has been particularly flexible with dates and he couldn’t be more helpful. I would highly recommend Craven Conservation and am already thinking about my next project!"

Heidi Berry reviewed: Jewellery making experience day (weekdays)

"I had a fabulous day. I brought my mum the jewellery making day as a present. My mum is quite creative but I have zero artistic talents. Despite this, with Karen’s guidance I managed to produce a one-off, self designed ring that I am very, very proud of. I even managed to stamp a personalised message inside the band to remind me of the day. Mum produced a ring and a bracelet. We both had a lovely day, a great lunch and left with great memories. We loved every minute of it."

KFD Jewellery responded:

"Thank you for your kind words. I am so glad you both enjoyed your day. It was a pleasure to have you in my workshop."
