Susan Walls reviewed: Lampworking Workshop: Half Day Beginners Workshop

"My daughter booked this course as a birthday present which I attended yesterday. I had a fantastic session which was very well organised to make it enjoyable and informative. Suzanne was friendly and professional making me feel at ease to enjoy the session. It was good to have all the safety aspects discussed at the beginning ensuring I understood the process of lampworking and relaxed when I made my own beads. I made a variety of beads under Suzanne,s guidance and would recommend this course to anyone wanting to try something different but truly enjoyable. Thank you very much Suzanne."

Suzanne Jewellery responded:

"So pleased you enjoyed your workshop Susan. Thank you for taking the time to write a review."

Zoe reviewed: Craft Workshop: Learn to make silver art clay jewellery in a day (beginner)

"As a fan of all kinds of crafts, I received the beginners silver clay workshop course as birthday present. It was an excellent day and the perfect present idea. The class was small, Sally was an excellent and enthusiastic tutor and silver clay a fantastic medium allowing us to create all kinds of beautiful and varied pieces. Everyone left at the end of the day very proud of their finished work and with lots of top money saving tips on how to continue to use silver clay. Definitely one of the best crafting courses I have attended. Highly recommended."

"Charlie is a wonderful teacher. His patience is amazing, and we did finally achieve pots worth firing. Thank you. The day was excellently planned, the timing allowed us to start again when things went wrong and it was relaxing and fun. I would recommend to anyone that they attend one of Charlie's courses. I will certainly persevere and attend more courses if I can. An excellent day."

"I had a really super day with Melanie, she is an encouraging and supportive teacher. After a little boat trip, Melanie gave me a demonstration that was amazing and then she guided me in my own painting. I learnt so much and then went home with a series of lovely paintings. Linda Evans reviewed: Needle felting workshop - Create your own woodland creature

"If you fancy spending the day in lovely surroundings, with good company, a steady supply of delicious homemade goodies and you would like to learn a new skill then this is the course for you. Denise will guide you through every step of the needle felting process whilst demonstrating her own considerable talents in that department. She has bucketfuls of patience and encouragement, and all the equipment and materials are provided. This isn’t just a taster of what you may achieve in the future, you will take home an adorable woodland creature of which you can feel justifiably proud. I was thrilled with my wonderful hare. Denise is a great fun and a great teacher, I wholeheartedly recommend her classes."

Crafty Gal responded:

"Linda thank you so much for such a lovely review - I'm so happy you enjoyed your day and hope to see you again. Happy needle felting in the meantime! Dx"

Deb reviewed: Greenwood carving at Sallerton Wood

"We had a really lovely couple of days. It was so nice to be in the woods, listening to the stream while being completely absorbed in chopping, sawing and carving a bit of wood! Andy was very calm with a relaxed style and was always on hand when we had a question."

Sallerton Wood responded:

"Thanks very much, Deb, for posting a review. We're pleased that you enjoyed the course and the proximity of woodland and stream whilst working on your kuksa. Hope to see you and Mick back at Sallerton Wood again one day."

Tina Su reviewed: Stained glass Monday evening course

"I started off as a complete novice with Sharon and developed a real love for the medium as she guided me through challenging projects and encouraged my inner creativity. Over six sessions in two years I have completed a lampshade, three large panels, a candle holder and a small Victorian grid style panel in both lead and copper foil. The classes are always relaxing and social but Sharon keeps a good tempo so everyone walks away with completed projects at the end of term. Whether you're looking to explore the magic of stained glass, learn a new skill or switch off for 3 hours from your daily grind every Monday or Wednesday the course is great value. Highly recommended and I look forward to my next session!"

Manchester Stained Glass responded:

"Hi Tina, Thank you so much for your lovely review. It has been joyful to watch your creations develop from initial design through to a beautiful art work. I look forward to seeing you on the next session you attend. Sharon :)"

Susan Resuggan reviewed: Linocut printing workshop in Warwickshire at Bonds Lifestyle

"What a highly enjoyable day! I think I might have found yet another craft I want to pursue. This workshop was an excellent introduction to the art of Linocut printing. Alix is an excellent and highly knowledgeable tutor and she gives you space to have a go but is on hand to help out if things start going awry. It was fantastic to have not just one, but six finished artworks to come away with. I'm definitely going to pursue Linocut printing further - I'm already on the internet looking at equipment! A thoroughly enjoyable workshop, in a relaxed, creative atmosphere - thank you Alix."

Alix Almond Art responded:

"Hi Susan, thank you so much for your kind words. I am so pleased you enjoyed if and that you're already looking at equipment and have been bitten by the printmaking bug - I did warn you it was addictive! It was such a lovely workshop, and you should be really proud of your print too. And you are right, it is such a great venue! Thank you again, Alix."

Benedict Leigh reviewed: Lino Printing Day with Oxford Linocut Workshops

"A lovely afternoon, in beautiful surroundings, with an excellent tutor. I found the course extremely engaging, and it was very well taught. There was never a sense of pressure and despite not being in any way artistic, and never having done linocut before I left with a set of prints I feel really pleased with."

"An excellent course in a friendly environment. Anne is very patient and helpful and spread her time between 3 of us equally, demonstrating techniques on our different projects. Anne is more than happy to answer any questions you may have. I thoroughly enjoyed my day and ‘afternoon tea’ is also very good. You will be made to feel welcome and I’m sure thrilled with your project and the knowledge on leaving. I know I am."

James & Graz reviewed: Make your own wedding rings - Bristol

"We had such a fantastic day with Lucy making our wedding rings. She was really patient with us, particularly when I was struggling through with a particularly tricky design and guided us the whole way through. From someone who was perhaps a bit skeptical about making our rings before hand, I can safely say that this was one of the best decisions we have made. Thanks for making it such a great day!
