Blow a bauble at Chew Valley handmade glass

Description

Blow your very own design bauble, with a variation of colours of your choice. Made the traditional way using molton glass straight from the furnace gathered on a blowing iron, with expert tuition from a master glassmaker with over 45 years experience. Our studio is situated in a fabulous courtyard, with access to toilets, tea rooms serving delicious food, and a very well stocked farm shop. Also browse the antique shop for a bargain.

What's included in the price?

Expert tuition to blow your very own bauble to take away the next day once cooled or boxed and posted free of charge. Also a coloured ribbon of your choice will be added once the bauble is cooled.

"Wow what a lovely introduction to glass blowing - Steve and Angie are so so friendly - you can see that Steve is passionate about his glass . I made a beautiful bauble from start to finish - taking the melted glass from the furnace adding the colours and blowing under the excellent supervision of Steve - would really recommend this as an introduction - look forward to learning more on a future course."

"What a wonderful day. We were warmly welcomed by Steve and Angie and talked through the procedure . There are lots of examples to get ideas of what you might like to copy. ( although every piece is individual) we had booked to make Balls. Steve calmly explains again and off we go! Choosing our colours, first colour seems to colour the glass second decorates. Steve talks us through the process but lets go of the controls ( so to speak) but is right there to calmly take over at any moment. I now need to wait a couple of days for my ball to cool, then they will post it to me next day delivery. Which is included in the price. I am so excited. You can see his love of making things with glass , and sharing his passion with others is his raison d'être. Thank you so much for making our experience such a wonderful day to remember. We booked a table for lunch afterwards at the tea shop across the courtyard which was delicious and they cater for food intolerances. Well done New Manor Farm . You have a gem!"

This made the whole experience just brilliant from beginning to end. The girls felt such a sense of achievement by the end and the quality of the baubles and equipment used was excellent. The studio was very clean and the session was so well organised. It was lovely that it was just our daughters in the session-felt very bespoke and personalised.
