Description

An adult (18+) workshop aimed at beginners or first time felters with tutor Natalie Harris(Brooks). Natalie is a fine artist using needle felting and the creator of Roly Poly Ponies. This workshop is aimed at beginner felters that have had a go before... confident first timers are welcome, but there is a bit of armature work which you may find tricky if you are brand new to needle felting... if you want to have a go at a more solid project first, have a look at my events page... (the workshop following this one, bunnies in April is an excellent starting point as is the Duckling workshop at Moseley Old Hall). In the morning (10.30-12:00) the types of wool and needles are best for sculpting the body will be explained and then you will be provided with a ready made armature to make the base body sculpt of your swan. We will break for lunch and an opportunity to get some fresh air in the grounds at 12.00. We will then return at 13:00 to finish our swans, adding wing feathers and the details. All materials are provided. Lunch is not included, the the on-site cafe will be open or you may bring your own. Admission to Wightwick Manor is also included and you are welcome to view the house and grounds during the lunch break and once the workshop has ended. Parking is free. Should the workshop be postponed for any reason, you will be given a voucher which can be redeemed at a later date (at any venue Natalie teaches). Full workshop terms and conditions can be found on the notes section of my Facebook page or are available upon request.
