Description

Please select 'message the tutor' to check with me first to see if dates are still available (life has a habit of getting in the way!). Our needle-felting workshops usually start at 10.00 am with an introduction to the tools and methods used in producing the pictures. This is followed by working on a miniature moorland picture using Merino wool fleece. We then usually have a break for coffee and danish and then continue with a larger coastal scene. This picture introduces you to different types of fibre such as silk, yak and silk blends and merino and tensil. By the end of the morning our aim is for you to produce two framed pictures for you to go home with. There is an opportunity to purchase the tools you have been using at the end of the workshop as well as other materials. Courses are held at mutually convenient days with a maximum of three students - Please select 'message the tutor' to contact me before booking to agree a date.

Maker

I started needle felting about five years ago when I bought a kit. That was a complete disaster and it went in the bin! I hope I have learned from that experience and can offer students needle felting picture workshops which explain, help and work towards the goal of completing work within the time frame and which are enjoyable and rewarding experiences.
