What to Expect: Traditional Techniques: Experience the time-honoured craft of leaded stained glass from a professional artist and instructor. Master the traditional techniques of cutting glass, working with lead, soldering, and finishing to craft your own beautiful decoration from glass. Expert Guidance: Our qualified and experienced instructor will guide you every step of the way. Our commitment to small class sizes will ensure a supportive and engaging learning environment. Perfect for Beginners: No prior experience required! This session is tailored for beginners, providing a gentle introduction to the world of stained glass artistry. Please note that we are unable to offer this course to pregnant women or nursing mothers. What to bring: Please ensure you wear clothing suitable for crafting and sensible footwear (no open toed sandals please). You will need a bag to take your completed work home in. Don’t forget to bring your glasses if you use them for close work.

Everything! All tuition, tools, glass and other supplies are included, as well as unlimited tea, coffee, biscuits and refreshments. We do not charge extra for glass and there are no hidden costs.

You'll learn traditional stained glass techniques, including glass cutting, assembly and soldering. By the end you'll have created a stunning panel or sun catcher to display in your window or garden.

No prior experience is required! Our workshop is designed for all skill levels, including beginners. Our experienced instructor will guide you through each step, and we have patterns you can make which are suitable for a range of skill levels.

We recommend wearing comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes. Please also bring your glasses if you use them for close work. Consider bringing an apron or an old shirt to protect your clothes from glass fragments. We have spare aprons with us on the day and can provide you with one if needed.

Our workshop is suitable for participants aged 16 and above. Younger participants are very welcome however, and may join if accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Absolutely. You will most likely finish your project same day. Some finishing touches might be needed, and if so you'll be provided with guidance on final steps to ensure your piece is ready to display.
