Making a Stained Glass Panel: Beaminster, Dorset

Description

This is a 2 day course (consecutive days) for beginners and intermediates. Expert tuition, small groups (between 4 and 7 people), fun and very relaxed! Through demonstrations and practice you will be guided through the stages of making your panel which will be about A4 size. Absolutely no experience necessary - you can work at your own pace and level. If you have some experience you can use the time to hone your skills with help on hand. Feel free to contact me with any queries. Please be aware that lead, lead solder and lead cement are toxic substances and not recommended to be handled by children or pregnant women. Please note that everyone on the course will be required to follow safety procedures when handling and cutting glass. Sensible footwear to be worn - no high heels or open sandals.

What's included in the price?

All materials and equipment will be provided for use on the course and you will take home your finished panel. Details of standard texts on the subject, a list of suppliers and a check list for equipment to set yourself up at home is included. Teas and coffees will be provided but please bring your own lunch. Equipment to Bring:  Apron, overalls or old clothes – much of the work is messy; If you have an allergy to latex gloves please provide your own or inform me in advance  Solid footwear: flat shoes: no open-toed or open-backed sandals/shoes; no high heels;  Optional: drawings or designs as inspiration or ideas/plans for your own work – not too complicated!  Lunch! (shops and cafes a short walk away, or bring your own lunch)
