Trained as a traditional jeweller, I create vibrant silver and nylon jewellery. I enjoy sharing my skills with others and encouraging you to use your creativity. I lead children's art workshops and adult jewellery workshops and am also available for wedding and engagement ring commissions. In my own work I take my inspiration from mathematical models, geometric shapes and the interwoven curves, circles and figures produced by a Spirograph toy. I see these forms around me in nature eg. shells

FAQs

Choosing the right metal for your wedding ring is an important decision, as it will affect both the aesthetics and durability of your ring. Yellow Gold: Classic and timeless, White Gold: Offers a contemporary look and resembles platinum. It is usually rhodium-plated for extra shine and durability. Rose Gold: Known for its warm, pinkish hue, rose gold is romantic and unique. Silver is an affordable option but is softer and less durable than other metals. It offers a bright, shiny finish but requires tarnishes with chlorine and salt water.
Factors to consider
Lifestyle: Consider how active you are and the kind of activities you engage in. Durable metals like platinum, titanium, and tungsten are great for active lifestyles.
Skin Sensitivity: If you have sensitive skin or allergies, opt for hypoallergenic metals like platinum, palladium, or titanium.
Maintenance: Some metals require more maintenance to keep their shine (e.g. white gold may need re-plating).
Budget: Determine your budget as it will influence your choice.
Platinum and Palladium are not suitable to work with as a beginner but if you are set on either of these metals we could make your ring in silver and I can arrange to then use that as a mould and cast it in platinum.

I am happy to run this workshop as a party for a group. I can come to your home or venue. If you have a larger group please let me know but I am sure I can accommodate you. It may be that I need to hire another jeweller to work with me.
