Make a Needle Felted Animal at Cartlands Tearooms
Description
A friendly, supportive workshop where you will learn - or revise - the basics of needle felting. We will use a specialist needle to create a small animal shape. You will be shown how to attach ears, arms, and legs to create a realistic creature. Choose from a cat, dog, sheep, mouse, rabbit or hare, and make a simple piece. There will be hints and tips to make future pieces. This is a relaxing session and includes a cream tea around midday. The class is taught by Penny Dixon who has been felting and teaching workshops for over 18 years. She is a qualified teacher and also has a Masters in Art, Health, and Wellbeing. She has led workshops at numerous museums, hospitals and community venues as well as the Midlands Arts Centre. She has exhibited most recently at the NEC Birmingham, MAC, many hospitals in Solihull, Birmingham and Coventry and Worcester City Art Gallery. She is a member of the Heritage Crafts Association and also the International Feltmakers Association.
