Description
Get into the festive spirit at this linocut printmaking workshop! During this workshop, you'll carve and print your own stunning linocut Christmas cards. You will go home with your own collection of cards, ready to send to friends or family (or to keep and frame!) In this hands-on class, we will be using traditional, hessian-backed lino. I will guide you step-by-step through the entire process, from initial design to the final hand-printed artwork. You will take home your lino block as well as your cards. There will be a choice of card to print on. This workshop is suitable for beginners - no previous art or drawing experience needed! What You'll Learn: - mark-making techniques to add texture and detail to your prints - safe carving practices - transferring designs to lino - how to experiment with mixing ink colours - how to print without a press (hand burnishing) This workshop is tailored to equip you with the knowledge and skills to continue your linocut journey at home. Please wear comfortable clothes you don't mind getting messy, or bring your own apron!
