Description
A course that runs over 3 consecutive days that will take you through the practicalities of warping up your shaft loom. A Louet 8 shaft loom is provided, along with all materials. Firstly you will look at how to work out the length of warp you require, along with choosing the twill draft (pattern) that you would like to weave. Next stage is to wind your warp using a warping mill. You will be shown, step by step how to achieve this and from the warping mill, your warp will be put onto the loom. Once your warp is on the loom, you will be shown how to thread the heddles and the reed, tie the warp on and you are ready to weave. The course is spread over 3 days, giving you time to achieve this. Bring your own lunch.
