Description
Make your own silver spinner ring in this introduction to silversmithing. Learn how to form silver sheet into a wide band and add texture if desired. Then use silver wire to create a spinning ring and put the two together. Local Jewellery Artist, Helen Smith, will guide you through the designing and making process. You will learn forming, soldering, texturing, sizing, flaring and polishing in this workshop. It is possible to have your pieces hallmarked (at an additional cost). This will take about 2-3 weeks. Make a day of it , a yummy Buffet Style lunch or refreshments can be ordered ahead from the Barn Café to make your outing extra special. Just ask us for details when booking. Otherwise, you will need to bring a packed lunch. Groups also welcome, a great way to spend time with family or friends. Book early to avoid disappointment Suitability: Adults & Age 16+. Duration: 6 hours including a break for lunch.

All tools and materials included. Please Note: You will need to wear closed toe shoes and tie long hair back. A small blowtorch is used for the silver soldering process. You will be provided with protective goggles for this.
