" I used a craftcourses gift voucher to make a willow reindeer with Anthony at the Zanthium Studios. He was very patient, funny and great at explaining everything. As a complete novice, I've impressed myself and my family with my creation and he will have pride of place in the hall this Christmas, greeting any visitors! We had a lovely lunch and afternoon cake and a really great day. Thank you! "

"This was a marvellous course. The facilities were good - the room was light and airy and there was a delicious lunch and plentiful supply of drinks....but more importantly the teacher was excellent. Ali clearly explained everything and she was very attentive to our individual work and queries. I came away feeling enthused and delighted with the work I had done and seen. I only wish there was a follow-up course!! "

"We really enjoyed the willow weaving session. The hospitality was lovely - food was amazing and well beyond our expectations. The instructor Anthony was so patient with my mum with can struggle a little due to arthritic hands. He was personable and made the whole day a pleasure. Great day, would highly recommend and will definately be back for other sessions at the studio!"

"Had such an enjoyable day on Allie’s modern calligraphy course. A smaller group meant everyone got valuable tips and had a great time practising whatever their ability. We were in a lovely studio with plenty of refreshments, lunch and tea & cake in the afternoon. Would definitely recommend! I’m very glad I booked it. Thank you all for a lovely day."

"Really enjoyed this course. I liked the venue although getting home through the dark and fog was a bit hairy. Enjoyed lunch, cake and tge rest of the catering. I loved the teaching bit. Holly was very patient and helpful, when I made mistakes or asked for individual help. Pleased with the product and now have the knowledge to have a go myself. "

"Have just spent a great couple of days willow weaving an animal sculpture. I made a fox and my wife made a squirrel. The location and facilities were great, despite the weather being cold and damp we worked outside and only ventured inside for lunch. The hosts were very welcoming and the food and cake were top notch. As for Caroline, the instructor, she was very patient, engaging, informative and able to adapt her teaching method to suit the students. Would definitely recommend."

"We had an amazing day willow weaving. The setting is wonderful, so relaxing. Eddie was great, he demonstrated and explained the techniques and helped when/if required. Came home with a lovely obelisk and a colourful sunflower sculpture. "

"We had a wonderful day making willow structures in a lovely peaceful garden. The atmosphere was very friendly from the moment we arrived. Rachel explained everything very clearly and then helped us all as needed as we built our structures. It was great to learn something new and to take our pieces home. The lunch and treats were superb and far better than you would expect to get on a course. All in all a fabulous day and we hope to come back for another course sometime."

"The course was great - the tutor was very helpful and the lunch was excellent (including home made cake). I thoroughly enjoyed the day - there were 7 of us in total which was a nice number and allowed Caroline to give us all the attention we needed to make great sculptures - would be interested in doing a 2 day course to try something a little more complicated! "

"I can highly recommend this one day course for beginners or anyone with a little experience of book binding. The day proceeded at a reasonable pace and I never felt rushed. There was plenty of choice when it came to materials for our books and Holly, our tutor was very calm and patient with everyone. We didn’t wait for anything when it came to refreshment breaks and the weather was just about good enough for us to sit outside and enjoy the wonderful surroundings and views. I really enjoyed the day and came home with a book that I was very happy with. I hope that I can return one day to experience another course like this. "This course was amazing! Our tutor 'Lin' was friendly and knowledgeable - making every aspect a joy to learn! The hosts made you feel welcome from the beginning until the end of the day. Refreshments were available throughout with lunch and then mid-afternoon tea with homemade cake! I managed to come away with seven flowers which are nicely displayed on my kitchen windowsill! I'll definitely be booking another course at the idyllic Zantium Studios."

"This is a fantastic introductory course to book binding. The tutor, Holly, explained and demonstrated everything thoroughly. The course was unrushed allowing everyone to progress at a steady pace. I'm happy with what I learned and feel confident in using and building upon the skills taught. The hospitality was also excellent, with plenty of hot drinks and snacks provided through the day, with a very nice lunch and homemade cake in the afternoon. Overall, thoroughly recommended!"
