Angela Webb reviewed: Pottery / ceramics wheel throwing, full day

"What can I say ... after a one-day course, I was hooked! Lorraine helped me on a journey; not only of therapy and self-discovery, but a path to create amazing pottery. I attended many studio days, and each time Lorraine showed me everything I needed to know. Her teaching style is relaxed; she has in-depth knowledge, and you get unbeatable value for money - plus some! Oh, and her mom's cakes are simply delicious. Without a doubt, I can totally recommend Woodsetton Art Pottery. But don't take my word for it ... you best experience it yourself. So, if you're thinking, "Maybe I should," please do! You'll be glad you did."

Jenny Hawker reviewed: Spoon carving beginners course

"Excellent introductory course, loved the woodland setting which complemented the whole ethos of the course. Nigel was a really good teacher, patient with complete novices, but very experienced so able to share lots of helpful information and techniques. The course was run at the right pace for the participants, but also ensured that we had a completed spoon by the end of the day. Simon also joined us for part of the time and his enthusiasm and knowledge just added to the whole experience. I would recommend this course to anyone who is looking to start working with wood, we started with a log of wood and ended with a great spoon what more could I have asked for."

Gertraud Seraphina reviewed: Beginners Hand spinning - 'From fleece to fibre’ - at All in a Spin

"Thank you so much Dunja! I enjoyed both days and learnt a lot from what you taught us. I admire your expertise and patience, even when you had to repeat things for me several times. The farm is in fantastic surroundings and on a sunny day stunning views for miles around. Yummy lunches, cups of tea and biscuits kept us going. Will highly recommend your courses to friends and people who are interested in fibre crafts and spinning. Intend to come again and for more courses. Gertraud Seraphina"

fiona kinder reviewed: 5 Week Intermediate/Advanced Jewellery Making Class at Jewellery Workshop Leeds

"Bernard and Jane are just great. I've been going to their classes since the summer last year. Love my Monday nights. I generally make pieces for myself - there are others coming because they want a career change - all a treated equally and given the same amount of attention. It's you that sets the pace. Bernard and Jane are generous with their knowledge. Friendly atmosphere, good banter and the class are always interested in what others have created. Can't recommend highly enough. If you always wished you had done this - then sign up and come along."

Fiona Kinder reviewed: 6 wk Mixed Level Jewellery Making at Jewellery Workshop Leeds

"Always wanted to do some silver jewellery making (I buy enough of it). This course was just great. Introduced me to the basics and really got me going. It's amazing what you can produce in such a short space of time. Bernard has a wealth of knowledge and experience and I don't think there is much he doesn't know about his subject. Great value for money. Highly recommended"

"I was really looking forward to our day, but didn’t expect all that we got from it. Cheryl’s a joy! Engaging, attentive, a whole lot of fun, made us both feel right at home. It was so lovely and satisfying to spend a creative day with my daughter and come away feeling totally looked after and with a piece of work to show for it. A lovely welcome from the whole family, including the dogs. Highly recommended. Thank you Cheryl X"

Julie reviewed: Beginners Hand spinning - 'From fleece to fibre’ - at All in a Spin

"This day was a birthday present from my sister and it was one of the best presents I could have asked for. The whole thing was so enjoyable from start to finish. The journey to the farm takes you through beautiful scenery of Wales. The area is so peaceful and timeless very much like spinning. Dunja is a great tutor and the group is small so that you really do get first class training. It is something I have fancied doing since a child and now I am hooked. In one day I have learnt enough to bring home a wheel and fleece and get started. If you would like to learn from someone who is very skilled and competent, friendly and warm in an environment that is most welcoming then look no further. Thank you Dunja for a great day"

Naomi reviewed: Firebird Forge Blacksmithing School

"My husband and myself went on this course together and had such a fantastic day. I was not the greatest at bashing the metal, but Mort was very patient and helped us make our coat hooks without taking over and made us feel like we had achieved a lot by the end of the day. I can highly recommend it as an activity to do with your spouse because we were in fits of giggles at how useless we were with the machinery and have something fantastic to take home and remind us of a good day spend together."

"What a fabulous and inspiring day. The day exceeded all expectations and I made some fabulous pieces which were way above what I expected. I am so proud of what I made and so were my family! Cheryl was a fantastic teacher, very patient and gives you the confidence to believe that you can do it. If you get a chance to attend one of Cheryl’s classes, go for it – you will not be disappointed. Can’t wait to attend the leaded glass class!"

Jo Pearce reviewed: One day Traditional Lead Stained Glass Course

"Cheryl, I had a fab weekend and am really impressed with what I managed to achieve…so proud of my fish! Thank you so much for such a warm welcome and a relaxed environment to learn in; I’m so glad that of the few courses I came across when looking for stained glass courses, I went with yours. Having just a couple of pupils to teach meant we had invaluable time with you to really understand the techniques and plenty of time for questions and advice. Can not recommend the course (and teacher!) enough. It has really fuelled my creative side and I hope to carry on what I have started :)"

Annie Stainthorpe reviewed: Basic bushcraft for kids (aged 8+.)

"Annie was energised by the whole experience and her 'weaved' plate and mallet are proudly on display at home. She said that it was the best activity day she'd ever done! The instructor was very knowledgeable and approachable and when I came to collect Annie, she quite happily showed us both how to make string from nettles. Thanks for a great day Ken Stainthorpe (Dad)"

Gillian Brayshaw reviewed: 1 Day Fused Glass for beginners workshop at The Silver Zebra studio Cheshire - Est 2004

"Really great course and value for money. Deborah is a really engaging tutor and expert in her field. Met some really interesting people and enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere of the whole day. Can't believe we made 6 items and can't wait to see how they have turned out. You don't have to know anything about fused glass before hand but I did a little research on what kind of fused glass I liked. Future projects?! It isn't technical or mind blowingly difficult just a way of expressing your creativity with some simple techniques and in a very interesting medium. I think I'd like to know more about the glass. A chat with your dad may suffice! I've already recommended it to some of my friends, was posting on Facebook my before creations so I may be back. Can't recommend it enough. And thank you for a lovely lunch. Your mum's home made scones with cream and strawberries were fab!"

Sheila Mounteney reviewed: Group Soap-making Workshop - Soapology Studio - Nottinghamshire

"This was a very interesting day, with lots of soap making fun. The tuition was expertly executed, and a very informative Soapology folder of the history of soap, and how it's made. It also includes recipes and tips for you to make soap at home. We had a break for a lovely 2 course lunch and plenty of coffee, tea and biscuits available all day. I would recommend this course to anyone. Well done Soapology's Emma and Richard."
