"Just been on a two day course with Nigel which was fantastic. On the second day we made a big dandelion garden sculpture which I'm really pleased with. Nigel is very enthusiastic and passionate about the blacksmithing craft and I would highly recommend his course."

Ann Oxby reviewed: Blacksmithing, bladesmithing and metal craft

"My husband and I have recently returned from doing a one day course with Nigel. We enjoyed making the poker and shovel. Would have been great if we were able to discuss and make a simple item of our choice later in the day. Shepherds hut very comfortable for a nights stay."

Elizabeth James reviewed: Introduction to Glass Fusing with Enamels - 3 Hour Taster Workshop

"I've attended two of these workshops and have thoroughly enjoyed them, as did everyone else there. Steve was a really good teacher, making it interesting and fun. He helped as much or as little as you liked and advised freely so that we could create our own masterpieces! Even those of us who started out feeling nervous to start were reassured and felt capable and confident to make their own piece by the end. I intend to attend another workshop in the future and have recommended these workshops to others. If I come into some money, I'd love to attend the day course!"

Kerry reviewed: Spoon carving beginners course

"Such a perfect setting for the course, working in the dappled sunlight under the trees with nature all around. The hot water for our tea was boiled in a kettle over a fire; it was just an idyllic place to learn spoon carving. Nigel was our instructor for the day. He was very patient with us and worked at just the right pace; it felt relaxed and there was no pressure. At the end of the day I came home with a spoon I'm quite proud of, quite an achievement for a complete novice! I have certainly learnt a lot of new skills on the course and am now hoping to take my new found knowledge further and carve a few more."

Karin reviewed: Green Wood Creative Seating - 6 Day Course in South Devon

"How on earth can I turn this green log into a chair for my dining room? Worries that were forgotten as soon as Peter started with his instructions. He is an excellent teacher and emphasizes in design. With every day I gained more confidence in using the tools and I went home with a really light chair. Thanks to the steam bent elements for the back it is very comfortable, too. His workshop lies in a picture-postcard part of Devon, where only cows and birds interrupt the peace and quiet. The facilities for working inside and outside are excellent. I come back – no question.K"

Sophie reviewed: Basket making in Norfolk

"I really enjoyed this day. Julie is a patient and encouraging teacher and she is very generous in sharing her knowledge of basket making. During the day it was fascinating to find out about growing and preparing the willow, the history of the craft, and the many skills involved in making one basket. And it was a great pleasure and surprise to take a finished basket home at the end of the day!"

Linda reviewed: Candle making workshops

"What an inspirational and enjoyable day we had making a number of candles using products which could be sourced from the UK. Angharad was an informative and knowledgeable tutor was keen to share her expertise and answered our questions. I can smell the honeysuckle fragrance we used in one of our candles as this is being written. It was a very sociable experience and one I'm sure everyone would enjoy whilst learning a new skill."

antonia reviewed: Candle making workshops

"We had an absolutely wonderful day. A lovely garden to sit in, some delicious cake and good conversation. We also made some Candles! Angharad explained everything carefully, encouraged us to try out our own ideas and sent us home with some beautiful candles. They have already been admired by friends who mutter something about Christmas presents! It certainly was a course that left us teaming with ideas and eager to do more."

Angela Webb reviewed: Pottery / ceramics wheel throwing, full day

"What can I say ... after a one-day course, I was hooked! Lorraine helped me on a journey; not only of therapy and self-discovery, but a path to create amazing pottery. I attended many studio days, and each time Lorraine showed me everything I needed to know. Her teaching style is relaxed; she has in-depth knowledge, and you get unbeatable value for money - plus some! Oh, and her mom's cakes are simply delicious. Without a doubt, I can totally recommend Woodsetton Art Pottery. But don't take my word for it ... you best experience it yourself. So, if you're thinking, "Maybe I should," please do! You'll be glad you did."

Jenny Hawker reviewed: Spoon carving beginners course

"Excellent introductory course, loved the woodland setting which complemented the whole ethos of the course. Nigel was a really good teacher, patient with complete novices, but very experienced so able to share lots of helpful information and techniques. The course was run at the right pace for the participants, but also ensured that we had a completed spoon by the end of the day. Simon also joined us for part of the time and his enthusiasm and knowledge just added to the whole experience. I would recommend this course to anyone who is looking to start working with wood, we started with a log of wood and ended with a great spoon what more could I have asked for."

Gertraud Seraphina reviewed: Beginners Hand spinning - 'From fleece to fibre’ - at All in a Spin

"Thank you so much Dunja! I enjoyed both days and learnt a lot from what you taught us. I admire your expertise and patience, even when you had to repeat things for me several times. The farm is in fantastic surroundings and on a sunny day stunning views for miles around. Yummy lunches, cups of tea and biscuits kept us going. Will highly recommend your courses to friends and people who are interested in fibre crafts and spinning. Intend to come again and for more courses. Gertraud Seraphina"

fiona kinder reviewed: 5 Week Intermediate/Advanced Jewellery Making Class at Jewellery Workshop Leeds

"Bernard and Jane are just great. I've been going to their classes since the summer last year. Love my Monday nights. I generally make pieces for myself - there are others coming because they want a career change - all a treated equally and given the same amount of attention. It's you that sets the pace. Bernard and Jane are generous with their knowledge. Friendly atmosphere, good banter and the class are always interested in what others have created. Can't recommend highly enough. If you always wished you had done this - then sign up and come along."

"Always wanted to do some silver jewellery making (I buy enough of it). This course was just great. Introduced me to the basics and really got me going. It's amazing what you can produce in such a short space of time. Bernard has a wealth of knowledge and experience and I don't think there is much he doesn't know about his subject. Great value for money. Highly recommended"

"I was really looking forward to our day, but didn’t expect all that we got from it. Cheryl’s a joy! Engaging, attentive, a whole lot of fun, made us both feel right at home. It was so lovely and satisfying to spend a creative day with my daughter and come away feeling totally looked after and with a piece of work to show for it. A lovely welcome from the whole family, including the dogs. Highly recommended. Thank you Cheryl X"

Julie reviewed: Beginners Hand spinning - 'From fleece to fibre’ - at All in a Spin

"This day was a birthday present from my sister and it was one of the best presents I could have asked for. The whole thing was so enjoyable from start to finish. The journey to the farm takes you through beautiful scenery of Wales. The area is so peaceful and timeless very much like spinning. Dunja is a great tutor and the group is small so that you really do get first class training. It is something I have fancied doing since a child and now I am hooked. In one day I have learnt enough to bring home a wheel and fleece and get started. If you would like to learn from someone who is very skilled and competent, friendly and warm in an environment that is most welcoming then look no further. Thank you Dunja for a great day"
