Myfanwy Scrivener reviewed: Introduction to Green Wood Furniture Making - 2 Day Course in South Devon

"I can't recommend this course highly enough. Peter and Garv were so friendly and helpful, so we all felt immediately at ease. I've learnt so much about green woodworking and am absolutely hooked. This is fully hands-on and the piece you produce is entirely your own. Time just flew and I can't wait to go back for more. If you get a chance to attend this course, you should go. The setting is idyllic, you will learn a huge amount and you will have enormous fun doing it."

"Loved the Furzie course. I took my friend as a birthday present and she loved it too. Michelle is an excellent and patient teacher with a friendly and approachable manner. "I couldn't have asked for a more pleasant environment to learn crochet. Sowmya is just lovely and very talented. I learnt many stitches and techniques and the two classes were adapted to my skill and personal projects. All this was done whilst drinking green tea and enjoying some yummy snacks. I'm grateful that Sowmya has taught me a craft that I hope to pass on to my children and grandchildren. thank you, Millie (the left handed one!)"

Mat reviewed: Creative Vibe - Glassblowing Sessions

"Quite simply this is one of the best days out we’ve had! From the moment we arrived we felt very welcomed by Ricky and it seemed like only minutes before we were collecting glass from the furnace! Ricky’s training is very personable, one-on-one and paced at just the right speed to keep you working all day! We’re thrilled with the pieces that we made (4 each) and together with the photos they now serve as mementos of our great day! Thank you Ricky!"

Vicky Fallon reviewed: Basket weaving for beginners - make a round basket

"My partner & I were recently the subject of the BBC2 documentary series 'Country Strife : Abz on the farm' which followed us as we made the not so seamless transition from urban to rural life. As the series demonstrated that we are absolutely clueless when it comes to rural pursuits, crafting and other such traditional activities...But with Emma Bird I was in safe hands. I absolutely LOVED this workshop and the result was a really lovely looking basket after just one session!!! (currently our fruit basket) I even learned enough to be able to show help Abz make one when I got home. Warm friendly atmosphere, excellent flapjacks ;) and brilliant value for money. We will definitely be attending again"

Sheila Blackshaw reviewed: Ceramic moon gazing hares

"Absolutely FAB course! It was my birthday present from a friend who thought I'd love it, and I did! Linda is lovely, a very personable, funny lady and a very good teacher. We all went to the course with a massive range of experience, age and ideas ( or not! ) but everyone went away from the day having produced very individual, but all excellent models. Her house is inspirational, full of quirky creatures and lovely artwork, and we were provided with tea and homemade cake, which just added to a lovely atmosphere. All in all, a great day - thanks Linda!"

Clare Wootton reviewed: Blacksmithing Beginners day courses in Yorkshire and the North East

"Just back from a great day hammering hot metal into shapes resembling key rings & coats hooks! It looked so straightforward when Adrian demonstrated each step! Adrian and Andy were good, helpful instructors. The food was fantastic - home baked biscuits, flapjacks, cake & a very tasty veggie lunch accompanied by local cheeses and followed by a wonderful crumble. I came home having produced a key ring, dragon coat hook & leaf hook with which I was very pleased. I would definitely recommend this day."

Fyonna reviewed: Full day fused glass course with breakfast, lunch and all materials included

"I've just completed my first course with Kim and Sharon, and sincerely hope it won't be the last! What a fabulous day we had - great tuition, fun company and lovely refreshments. The whole day was relaxing and much more productive than I was expecting - I managed to make a variety of items including a platter, coasters, necklaces and a large window hanger. I can't wait to pick up the finished products next week. Kim and Sharon were patient and encouraging throughout the day and very generous with the materials (no extra charge for the glass). I'd thoroughly recommend this course as a good fun day out that is also very good value. I'll be back!!!"

"This is an excellent day course beginning with an introduction to techniques and materials and the rest of the day you can design whatever you want where Siobhan gives a wonderful welcoming course and sets expectations what you can achieve as a beginner - she is extremely talented in this art. You get first hand help throughout the day and class sizes are just right. We were delighted with the results and can't wait to collect our pieces now that they have been in the kiln.
