Lampwork Beadmaking Full Day Introduction For One
Description
This is a full day intensive course to give you an introduction to bead making. This is a one to one course, you will not be part of a group. If you would like to bring a friend see our other listings for 2 person classes with a discount. All aspects of bead making for beginners will be covered, tools & equipment, health & safety, types of glass etc followed by demonstration and practice of basic tasks such as pulling stringers and making various types of basic beads. At the end of the course you will have made several styles of bead and be familiar with the tools and equipment of bead making and how to use them safely. All beads made on the day will be posted to you after they have been annealed in our kiln. We aim to run the course 10am – 5:30pm with a break for light refreshments but times are flexible around your needs. Ruth and Andy Harrison are full time, self-taught lampwork and fused glass artists with over 15 years of experience based in Burton-On-Trent. We discovered lampworking and then fusing almost by accident, it was a hobby for a little while before quickly becoming a full time job, and obsession.
