Nellie Haynes reviewed: The Annie Sloan complete chair makeover Workshop at La Di Da Interiors

"Steph was fabulous and not only did I come away with a newly renovated chair (that I've had lots of lovely comments on) but I've learnt a skill for life and have since reupholstered my four dining chairs and they look great. Steph couldn't have been more helpful and looked after us like kings and queens! The fish and chip lunch was absolutely delicious too. I would definitely recommend this course."

Jenny Tamblyn reviewed: Creating ceramic animals courses - with James Ort & Alison Pink

"I so look forward to James' courses! He and Alison are so enthusiastic and inspirational, and exceedingly patient. They work very hard and the preparation for each course is brilliant. Although we are all working hard on our sculptures, the venue is such that it lends itself to good comraderie, with the opportunity to lunch together (outside when the weather is good) and appreciate the wonderfully relaxing surroundings, with wonderful artistic gems dotted around. Truly inspirational and much appreciated, thank you."

"This is a really excellent course. James gives very clear demonstrations and he and Alison are very good in guiding participants in achieving fantastic sculptures at the end. I brought two children (teenagers) with me and they really gained a lot from the experience and grew in confidence."

Danny Davis reviewed: Textile design one day workshop for adults with Penny Mason, Birmingham (NO CLASSES UNTIL MARCH 2021)

"Penny has a knack of motivating all her students, including myself, to excel beyond what they thought they could do. Guidance through examples shows you what can be achieved with just the simplest of materials and I've proudly put my work (now framed) on the wall."

Judith Johnson reviewed: Needle felting course with FURZIE at Trumpet Corner Tea Rooms, Ledbury, Herefordshire

"The workshop is well worth attending, Michelle is an excellent teacher and makes the whole day fun and most enjoyable. The courses are small making it easier for Michelle to give individual attention to those who need it. It was lovely to spend the day at a brilliant venue with like minded people. The food at Trumpet Corner Tea Room was lovely, all freshly prepared and proper tea in a tea pot! I would recommend this workshop to anyone thinking of trying needle felting, you won't be disappointed and will leave feeling that you have achieved something."

Clare Gibson reviewed: Two day dry stone walling course for beginners in association with Dry Stone Walling Association of Great Britain

"Dry stone walling has always played a part in our English Countryside heritage, and like many people I'm sure, has been an unspoken ambition of mine to learn the skill of. So one day, just thought carpe diem, and subsequently spend 2 fantastic days, helping build a Dairy Farmer's wall, in idyllic settings. Hard work but great fun, made so by the expert and enthusiastic trainers, who thankfully all had a strong sense of humour. Felt at ease playing the apprentice in a highly professional training environment. Great fellow learners, performing serious manual work, not used to, but rewarding in helping maintain the longevity of a wonderful craft, with modern day farming relevancy. Try it!"

Ronald Wild reviewed: Stonecarving Weekend, Gloucestershire Cotswolds

"What a tremendous weekend, blessed by wonderful weather and my own piece of art. The location, off the Sharpness canal towpath, is perfect. Everything you need is provided, one of the best parts is the 'practice stone' which is to hack away at to see how it responds to the tools. No power tools, all work is done by hand. Sebastian is a chilled chap, and instills confidence. I think I'll be back."

Mary Allison reviewed: 3 Day beginners Fused Glass crash course - Silver Zebra studio Cheshire - Est 2004 by one of the UKs leading glass artists

"I recently did Deborah's 3 day workshop on glass fusing and it was a really worthwhile experience. I had dabbled a couple of times before with glass fusing and really wanted to be able to get my teeth into it. Deborah's course was just what I needed - it covered all the basics plus more in-depth information. The group size was small, so we all had as much attention as we needed. The homemade lunches were lovely, too! I can certainly recommend this course for anyone who thinks they might like to have a go at glass fusing, or for someone who's had a go at a half-day/one-day course and feels that a day is not long enough! I do feel I learnt a lot from Deborah and that the course was value for money."

Matthew Reay reviewed: Green Woodwork and Pole Lathe day

"The setting, tuition and atmosphere was fantastic! I was lucky enough to be on my own learning about using a pole lathe. Chris tailored the course to suit my needs and was able to get the balance of independent learning and instruction just right. The course was timed well with appropriate breaks that allowed me to find out more information about techniques we were using. The email with information afterwards will support me to use what I learnt at home"

"Bee rilliant I'd been interested in taking up beekeeping but had loads of questions and no hands-on experience. So I signed up for this course and was delighted. It was a fun day in a lovely location. Everything was done to a very high standard and even the gifts of seeds and a bee smoker were high quality. I'd highly recommend this course - it was great."

Ann Halford reviewed: Silverclay beginners jewellery workshop in Newcastle upon Tyne

"As Claire didn't have a course coming up she offered me a one to one class - an added bonus. Claire was very warm and welcoming. She was able to explain the silver clay process clearly and it was very helpful to have my many questions answered so well. She even gave me a lot of written information and useful contacts to take home for future use. I had a really enjoyable afternoon and have some new earrings too."

"Sallerton Wood is a fabulous place to immerse yourself in green woodwork for a few days, and this course is a great introduction to the tools and techniques it involves. Andy is a very patient and encouraging teacher and in a short space of time I learned a huge amount. I have come away with a wonderful piece of furniture that has taken pride of place in my living room. Thanks so much to Andy and Jane for your kind hospitality - I hope to return soon to take on the challenge of making a chair!"

Chris Nannery reviewed: Glass Art - two day course in stained glass (traditional leaded or copper foil "Tiffany" technique)

"Couldn't have had a better day. Just home from my introduction to glass appliqué day with Mattt. From my initial enquiry to bringing home my finished project I couldn't have had a kinder, patient or or more encouraging tutor. I was made to feel very at home, built my confidence and learnt masses. I will be going back for another course later in the year and that is because I want to learn more, although the lunch and chat also help!"
