I can thoroughly recommend Kerry's candle workshop (and the homemade hot chocolate and cake too!). I'm itching to get started on some Christmas gifts."

"We had a wonderful day yesterday with Phil. We had never tried encaustic wax before but with Phil's expert advice we were able to produce lots of lovely picture straight away. Phil's patience, encouragement and good humour made this day the ideal birthday treat. The only problem is we can't wait to do so more!!"

We made some really lovely candles and I am hooked on candle making as a hobby. Anyone who wants to try learning a new skill would really enjoy spending a day at Wax the Matter."

"I recently attended the curtain making course with my friend. It was brilliant!! Janet was so friendly, knowledgeable and approachable. There were no 'silly questions', the pace of the course was perfect and it was a great balance of theory and practical. Dinner was also included which was delicious as was the banana bread! I woukd definately recommend this course to anyone wanting to learn how to make their own curtains."

"I have met Ian a few times at different country shows and I always show an interest in what he is making. Wood working is an hobby of mine and to my surprise my wife and children had booked me on to one of Ian's courses. I had a wonderful time. I learnt new skills and how to use the old traditional hand tools. I have since bought myself some. I had such a wonderful day that I have booked to go again in a couple of weeks time. Ian is a very easy going and skilled person, I learnt a lot from him. I would recommend his courses to all."

"I walked into this class knowing nothing at all about candle making and went home with a bag of "amazing" looking/smelling candles and goodies :-) Jo is such a brilliant teacher and you can tell she is so passionate about her candles. I bought this class as a gift for a friend and we both thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. What a beautiful setting and the lunch was a very nice touch too. Would not hesitate at all in recommending this course. Thank you so much Jo x"
