Jacky Corsby reviewed: Fabulous felt picture 2 day masterclass near York

"This is my second weekend workshop with Bridgette and it was equally as good as the first! Bridgette is a great teacher and very generous with her knowledge. I wanted to learn different skills so my picture I chose was completely different from my first workshop where I did a Mountain Hare which is now framed and on my wall. This time I did a landscape of Autumn and Winter Wheat and cannot believe how well it has turned out. Great weekend, Great company and a lovely piece of work too. Thank you Bridgette and Fantastic Accommodation in your airbnb lodge!"

Alison McMullan reviewed: Using stoneware clay and the pinch pot technique make six equal sized egg cups/ tea lights.

"I was bought a voucher for one of Jenny's courses last Christmas. I visited Jenny's workshop in the Spring and as I have just finished mounting the work I feel I can now write this review. The location is gorgeous but possibly not the easiest place to find - Jenny's directions were invaluable. Jenny is very friendly, hospitable and knowledgeable. I had a fantastic, relaxing time and have produced some beautiful pieces, some I have kept while others have been given as presents. I shall add pictures to the Facebook page - I was hoping I could add them to this. Thank you Jenny."

Charlotte Cozier reviewed: Woodturning courses in Hampshire - Beginners and improvers wood turning courses - Turn British, all British lathes!!

"After booking the full day course for myself and my husband, we had a brilliant day in Andy's workshop and came away with two amazing bowls that are now proudly on display in our living room. Being a complete novice, I was a little apprehensive at working on the machines, but Andy was incredibly patient and took us through the entire process, explaining every step along the way. We would thoroughly recommend this course and would happily book again. Top marks to Mrs Browne too for a lovely lunch."

Jane Close reviewed: Sewing with Allana

"With very limited knowledge of sewing, I had my first 3 hour lesson with Allana a few weeks ago. I was absolutely amazed at how much I learned in such a short space of time. Allana is an amazing tutor, patient, so knowledgeable and highly skilled in her field. She showed me some of her work, which is just unbelievable. Since I started with Allana, I've made bunting, bags, curtains, cushion covers and am now making a dress for my Sisters' wedding, (under Allana's supervision!) Highly recommended, thank you so much. :)"

Edna reviewed: Needle felting course with FURZIE at Trumpet Corner Tea Rooms, Ledbury, Herefordshire

"My sister and I attended this course and had a brilliant day. It was intense in a relaxing way and the service from the tea room was excellent. All too quickly it was time to go home and from complete novices we all achieved pieces that my friend remarked were very professional. Anyone attending will not regret it. Michelle's teaching is calm and very assured and nobody was left out or left to struggle. Excellent"

Andy Horn reviewed: Stonecarving Weekend, Gloucestershire Cotswolds

"A brilliant two days in bucolic Gloucestershire learning to carve stone. Great atmosphere and relaxing setting and one is quickly absorbed into the rhythm and feel of carving. The stone is soft and malleable which makes it easily responsive to creating something and the satisfaction of achievement at the end of two days. Being in a small group was great and Sebastian was a very encouraging teacher. Have definitely caught the stone-carving bug!"

Kacper Nowak reviewed: Blacksmithing evening class

"I was lucky enough to have Peter as a tutor for 2 (and a bit) years. When he interviewed me and seen some bits and bobs Ive done in the forge with little experience in blacksmithig, he simply said he can teach me to do better, and has stayed true to his word. Peter, having heaps of experience and knowlege of blacksmithing, has taught me not just the theory and practice of blacksmithing but also showed me how to learn from the metal, he thinks outside the box and clearly shows what he means, its like he saw every little thing that escaped my attention and when he pointed those things out it was that lightbulb turning on above my head moment."

Cathie McDonnell reviewed: Upholstery and upcycling furniture and interiors

"Having practised upholstery a few years ago I had the opportunity to return to it when my son said he needed a chair re-upholstering. Just the excuse I needed to take it up again now that I am retired. I decided that I needed a kick start to help me get underway so I attended one of Lucy's workshops. I knew that it was a huge project to undertake in one day but with the help and guidance I received from Lucy before, during and after the course, she has given me the confidence to achieve my goal. On the day I benefitted from learning new skills and techniques combined with Lucy's advice, help and enthusiasm. I was impressed with Lucy's breadth of knowledge which enabled her to work with the different projects on the day. Lucy's hospitality was perfect. She baked some delicious cakes and scones and made a wholesome soup for lunch. I thoroughly enjoyed the company and the relaxed environment of her beautiful home. I was exhausted at the end of the day having achieved so much. I look forward to attending another course next year."

Edna reviewed: Make a silver ring or bangle

"Another day another conundrum. Each time I come to Lucy thinking I know what I'm doing it's all very straight forward we together work through some technical issues. The result is that I am developing a piece that is evolving from something nice and safe into something interesting. Taking my skill from an interested beginner into some one whose confidence is growing to a new level of understanding.I'm gaining the knowledge that this is a craft that with its demands is stretching me both intellectually and practically. But without Lucy I would just still be an interested beginner"
