"I had already had a bit of experience with willow, but learnt so much more on the course. Thoroughly recommend this to beginners and non beginners alike. Victoria puts you at your ease and works to your ability. Must be good since my partner said “wow” when I brought the Rudolf in the door."

Jeff Bowsher reviewed: Blacksmith Experience Day - Anvil Forge

"What a fantastic day , John and Spencer are very welcoming and soooo full of knowledge and skill. The Viking knives all looked really different and all awesome and some made garden ornaments ( dragon flies ) which looked superb , seriously considering going back with my wife to do something like this as they turned out so well . Really can not recommend this enough , even if you've never worked with metal before ( I haven't since school about 30 yrs ago) the team a great at guiding you through everything . Plenty of tea & coffee and the lunch at the pub was delicious . Just a superb day out in every respect ."

"I completed this fantastic workshop yesterday, with Hellen Edwards, who is inspiring and very skilled in this craft! The course was organised, well resourced and clearly presented. Nellie Heavisides reviewed: Willow Christmas reindeer

"What a superb day! I have seen beautiful willow sculptures around for a long time wanted to learn how to do this. Victoria has enabled me to create a “characterful” creature for my garden and given me the confidence to attempt more on my own. Victoria had other sculptures around the garden and which show that she has a real aeristic eye for shape and form. She used this to help us all produce a very recognisable reindeers to be proud of! Thank you Victoria. Your help, enthusiasm and skill was much appreciated. Nellie"

JillBurgess reviewed: One day bangle/ring workshop

"A mother and daughter birthday present, this day course was just brilliant. Neither of us had any experience of jewellery making so we were not expecting to end the day with three bangles each! Our first two bangles, made out of copper, gave us the opportunity to experiment with ideas before we made our silver bangle. Jolene was an excellent teacher and so patient ( the chocolate brownies and banana cake were fab too!). We were both very proud of our finished bangles and would highly recommend this workshop. Thank you, Jolene, for such an enjoyable and creative day."

Jane reviewed: Make a shave horse at Sallerton Wood

"I really enjoyed this course ..... I've done a good bit of green woodwork previously but it still had its challenges and I loved re-familiarising myself with the pole lathe in particular, proud of managing to create components for my shave horse in this way. Andy was very patient and allowed me to make my own design adjustments to add character to my horse. I look forward to using it regularly in the future!"

This is the best pottery class I have ever attended. Thank you Sophie."

Trish reviewed: KF Creative Mosaics Workshop with Karen Frosdick – Make a beautiful 30cms mosaic bowl

"I thoroughly enjoyed the day, it was well run and the teacher was very helpful, informative, patient and very enthusiastic (inspiring might also be a good word here !) Initially I thought it was quite expensive but now I feel it was good value. Venue was good although we had difficulty finding the building, not realising it was down the side passage behind the shop. I think it would have been a good idea to ask everyone to bring a little hairdryer as we had to fight over the one provided ! All in all a super day and I have now bought several beginner kits to get me started in this very enjoyable craft."
