"Ella is a fantastic teacher. She knows how to set you at your ease, tells you just enough without overwhelming you in details, and then proceeds to check in with everyone individually to make sure you're ok. She makes the whole pewter process seem so easy and highly rewarding. I wouldn't hesitate to book with her again. Quirky Workshops is a great location, too. Annie ensures everyone feels welcome with a generous supply of coffee, tea, home made cordials, and of course biscuits and cake! Such is always the best and Annie is a great host. We've been to a few workshops at Quirky now, and are never disappointed."

"The willow weaving course was a gift for my birthday and what a great gift it turned out to be. The course is held at Kate's home, the perfect setting to get creative sat by the warmth of the log burner and taking in the views of the garden. In preparation for us arriving Kate had gathered examples of animal sculptures she had done so we had visuals to reference to throughout the day. Kate is very knowledgable, patient and was great at getting round to each of us individually to support and advise. Kate's husband was busy preparing a fresh homecooked lunch for us which was greatly received after a morning of crafting. I am surprised with myself at what I achieved, I made a boxing hare for our soon to be arriving babies nursery and I am so proud of it. With regards value for money Kate's course is a steal..... especially based on the size of the hare I came home with and the price you see willow sculptures at local garden centres. Thank you again.... I would consider booking again even if just to make a different animal... but feel confident enough to maybe have a little go at home!"

"This was my second time with Lucy. We spent 2 days crafting a gem set ring that started out as a very simple two dimensional idea that turned into a complex three dimensional object. Lucy was incredibly knowledgable and encouraging throughout the whole process, letting me know of different techniques and their application. She was happy to answer any questions I had about construction, gems, or jewellery in general and I have come away with a wealth of knowledge and the confidence to design more pieces. I can’t recommend this class enough if you have an interest in silver craft."

"What a fabulous day! Lynda is a wonderful teacher, so friendly and welcoming. Great value for money - everything is provided to produce a lovely piece of unique art, and Lynda helps all the way with ideas, inspiration and encouragement. The day rushed by as we worked and chatted! Lovely studio full of supplies - and an opportunity to buy some bits to continue my new hobby at home! Thank you Lynda - this was my first foray into mosaic but I will definitely be back! X"

"Learning to carve with Jeffrey was just a brilliant experience from start to finish. His own spoons are beautiful and his knowledge extensive. There were four of us learning together and Jeffrey taught at a pace that was supportive of the slowest, but also personalised his approach to push on those who had a bit more experience. His passion for carving, natural materials and design is infectious and we all went home with a spoon to be proud of. I'm a spoon convert!!!"

"This course was brilliant! Richard is very knowledgeable about leatherwork and he was a great teacher. We were able to choose from a range of leathers and a variety of bag styles. He then took us through each step, including cutting the leather, burnishing the edges, fixing the hardware, and saddle stitching. I learned a lot over the course of the day and I came away with an amazing bag that I will use for years to come. As the leather and hardware are included in the price, it is excellent value for money. I highly recommend this course with Richard."

"We had a lovely afternoon making our angels. Our tutor,Bev,was great. She was very knowledgeable about the products we used and gave us lots of hints and tips for the angels and any future projects. She gave us a balance of tuition and our own creativity and was very helpful when we needed it. We returned home with our unique pieces and a starter kit to make some more The only cloud to the afternoon was that I managed to lose the brush and glitters from my kit on the way home?! I will have to source some replacements from the website- can’t wait to make some more. I would highly recommend this course- I don’t think anyone could be disappointed. "I attended an introduction to fused glass workshop run by Martin. Not having attended a workshop before I was a bit unsure of what to expect but I needn't have worried. The workshop is held in a beautiful location and the facilities in the room were fantastic. Each person has an individual work-bench with all the tools required in the glass fusing process so no having to share and wait for people to finish. Martin has a huge amount of experience in working with glass and was an excellent tutor - clear instructions and on hand to help. There was no pressure to complete a certain amount so everyone could go at their own pace. Overall I absolutely loved it and will definitely be booking another workshop."

"I received a Craft Courses voucher for my birthday with an aim to attend a glass-blowing course. I chose Jon's course partly because of the sheer number of outstanding reviews he has received. Reading through them again, they're not wrong, having now attended his course. Jon is a friendly, encouraging and relaxed teacher, who demonstrates a keen passion for his art. The course took two complete novices (at crafts as well as glass-blowing) and enabled us to make a number of very special items, working with the glass right from the beginning. The setting is very nice, and the pizza lunch was a very nice tough. If you are looking to try glass-blowing for the first time, I could not recommend this course to you highly enough."

"I had a lovely day making soap with Emma and a small group. It was very informative yet concise with plenty of backup information to refer to in the future. It would have been nice to have made 3 batches of soap in the afternoon but there wouldn't have been enough time. It was nice to see everyone else's creations being made too. I also got the kit to bring home and make more soaps and I am really looking forward to experimenting. I would love to come back and do another course with Emma, it was a very relaxed day and we were well looked after. I am definitely going to be recommending to everyone I know"

"I thoroughly enjoyed last weekend's 2 day course for beginners. Gerald is clearly a very talented man who can help you realise any hidden potential you may have. Excellent practical advice delivered with fun to a small group of novices in a well equipped workshop. Copious supplies of biscuits, beverages and excellent lunches kept our energy levels high. I was surprised by how quickly time passed whilst working on our various projects, interspersed by practical demonstrations. I look forward to a returner's course in the future and would be delighted to repeat the 3 hour trip to Norfolk for more experience."
