Gemma Jones reviewed: Natural skincare workshops at Touch of Beauty (half day)

"This was an absolutely superb course that was way beyond expectations! Great value for money! Sue was wonderful, very accommodating, relaxed, warming and made me feel at ease and welcome as I took my 5 month old baby with me. Sues knowledge and teaching styles made the morning informative but also so much fun, with lots of hands on activities. It really was the best morning and I wished I’d booked for the full day, but I fully intend going back! It is an ideal gift, mother’s day, birthday, girls get together etc. I had the best time and then got to come home and enjoy the products I’d made from scratch! This is an absolute must do course!!!"

Touch of Beauty responded:

"Thank you so much Gemma for your lovely review. It was a pleasure having you and your gorgeous daughter with us. I`m glad you enjoyed your experience and gained so much from it. I try and ensure everyone has a fun time whilst learning all about the wonderful natural ingredients, and of course it`s great to see you go home with your bag of goodies that you have made. Look forward to seeing you at a Full Day Workshop. Thank you again for choosing Touch of Beauty. Sue"

Vikki Stacey reviewed: SAORI creative weaving day

"What a wonderful day at the Saori weaving workshop in Knapton village hall. Amanda created a great atmosphere with lots of interesting pieces to show us. Lovely books and a myriad of beautiful materials to use. Amanda's instruction was all clear, inviting and inspirational. The day went like a dream, I could have continued for the weekend. Having thoroughly enjoyed myself, at the end of the day, I also had a piece of cloth that I am pleased to hang in my hall for a while. Until my next one is made anyway. I'm certainly booking again, this is a wonderful workshop and suitable for complete beginners like me, or even maybe those with a bit of experience. Thank you Amanda"

Chloe reviewed: Denim jeans - be the designer!

"Great course with Angela. Her knowledge about the machines that are used in the jean/denim industry and how to replicate that at home was fantastic. Angela's descriptions and how to manipulate the fabric was very instructive and she made everything seem simple. Now to try again by myself, I'm sure it won't be as easy!"

Liz DE CHASTELAIN reviewed: Bladesmithing experience day

"This course was great fun and I really learned a lot. Steve is a very good teacher and it was a privilege to be tutored by one of the best knife makers in the world. And what a fantastic workshop! I am very very happy with the knife we made and as a beginner I was particularly satisfied with the sharp and beautiful knife I can be proud of. I have chosen some wood for the handle and will fit these to finish it. Steve was very kind and patient and expertly explained and demonstrated every step of the process before allowing me to do it, and let's not forget the coffee, tea and biscuits and wonderful chats with a great sense of humour! I enjoyed it so much I've just booked another course with him. Can't wait to make my very own chef's knife. I cannot recommend Steve highly enough."

White Tiger Knives responded:

"Hi Liz I'm really glad that you enjoyed your bladesmithing day so much, the time just seemed to run away with us. I'm looking forward to seeing you again on the two day chefs knife course. Kind regards Steve"

Helen Fryer reviewed: Beginners crochet course - in Trowbridge, Wiltshire

"Myself and 2 friends went to Lynn’s crochet lesson yesterday not really believing that we would leave knowing how to crochet. How wrong we were! Lynn was excellent! We all left having mastered 3 stitch types and all had a little project to take away. I would highly recommend this course and you will never believe how quickly three hours will pass. Both lynn and her husband made us welcome in their home with tea and cake in constant supply. Fabulous afternoon. Thanks Lynn"

Jayne Towndrow reviewed: Introduction to screen printing

"I spent one wintry day in one of Ria’s taster workshops and had a pretty spectacular time. Ria is a fantastic tutor, very knowledgeable, very good at teaching. I was a tad nervous (having most recently completed a bookmaking workshop elsewhere, but where I was absolutely hopeless, and didn’t want to be again), but Ria put me at ease really quickly, allowing creativity to flow. She was skilled at helping us to translate something from our heads into a screen-printed reality. How do you do that, Ria? She was incredibly generous with her time and never rushed us. I left at the end of the day with beautiful screen-printing. And I do mean beautiful. I just love colour and there was colour aplenty. I should also mention that there is a fabulous bijoux café on site and no trouble parking. I was rather sorry I didn’t get a chance to look around the rest of the craft centre because it all looked interesting. I am already planning a return visit."

"This was my second workshop, because I enjoyed the first so much! Rachel is a knowledgeable and patient teacher, and taught and supported the skills needed for all participants to try out different techniques and leave with a beautiful mosaic. There were a huge range of materials available, and the workshop is in a lovely setting, surrounded by beautiful examples of Rachel’s own work for inspiration and examples. Cups of tea and homemade cake were a bonus!"

Stuart White reviewed: One day salt or pepper mill woodturning course one to one.

"I attended the one day pepper mill course with Bill and had a fantastic day. I have never done any wood turning before and have been looking for a course for some time. Bill was very friendly and welcoming and has a style that makes you feel at ease. The work shop is fantastic and really well equipped (including a wood burning stove to keep it nice and warm!). This course is a great way to get an introduction to wood turning and it's nice to come away with something that you've made yourself and will use for years to come. I will definitely be looking to book another day in with Bill in the near future. If you're looking for an introduction to wood turning look no further!"
