Lindsay reviewed: Small Leather Goods Workshop

"The workshop was brilliant - we got a great introduction to working with leather, the different types and what you might want to choose depending on what project your doing, as well as lots of advice for where to go to buy your own and what tools to get to continue using the skills you learn as part of the course. Richard was very patient and knowledgable and he let each of us get on with our belts at our own pace. I got to design mine exactly how I wanted it and was so pleased with the beautiful belt I got to make! I'm hoping to book the bag making course next."

Jayne Towndrow reviewed: Glass fusing workshop - 1 day

"It turns out I am resistant to learning, but Jill was marvellous. She is a patient teacher (I really tested this aspect of her) and a very kind person (I tested this too). It really is a peaceful studio. I ended up with more than I bargained for so although I originally thought that the workshop was on the expensive side (glass workshops are if you look around), in fact I was wrong. It was very, very good value. Glass is such a lovely medium. Lunch was included and the food was absolutely delicious - and they sent me the recipes. More than I bargained for again. I would definitely go again."

Fired Glass responded:

"Hi Jayne, thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We are thrilled you enjoyed your day and you felt it was good value for your money. We find it difficult to put down in our course description what you will be getting, you have voiced this very eloquently so thank you for that. We hope to see you again in the future. Regards John and Jill."

Kate B reviewed: Box making weekend in Cumbria

"A fabulous two day course, with a great product to take home. The tutors Mark and Richard were so talented and knowledgeable. They had endless patience, providing just the right level of support, whilst allowing us the freedom to learn, try things out and make design decisions. The atmosphere was calm and relaxed, enabling us all to work and make decisions at our own pace. Everyone in the group used different woods for the lids and slightly different designs, which made it really interesting. I have learned so much about types of wood, machinery and tools. It's a fabulous environment - both the workshop and location, and I would thoroughly recommend the course. Thank you."

"Ref Hazel & Pauline. My sister and I had a fabulous day learning how to create stained glass artwork. Emma is a great teacher, she is very knowlegable and explained the processes patiently ensuring we understood before moving on to the next step. Having never done anything like this before there was alot of information to absorb but Emma is brilliant and made the whole day enjoyable from beginning to end. A memorable day!! Can't recommend her highly enough!!! Thank you Emma"

Sue Sartain reviewed: Architectural homage freehand machine embroidery or drawing with thread workshop

"I met Stacey at Handmade Fair and she had such a positive impact on me that I had not been sewing for a few years. Her course that day was so inspiring that I had got home and started sewing again. I attended her Paisley course on 2nd November at the Sands Hotel Margate. It was great value for money and the venue was beautiful and so relaxing. Stacey is an amazing tutor and mentor, so positive and uplifting. Her courses are so inspiring, and she pushes you out of your comfort zone to try new ways of achieving fantastic art and crafts. I am so privileged to have met her as her work is outstanding. I can only say if you have the opportunity to be on one of Stacey’s courses from Art Sea Craft Sea then do it you won’t regret it"

Lesley Warren reviewed: Architectural homage freehand machine embroidery or drawing with thread workshop

"What a fantastic day, wonderful view and Stacy was such an encouraging and enthusiastic tutor . While giving guidance and showing us skills, we were made to feel our efforts and individual traits were as important to the projects we had chosen. Bearing in mind, we were all doing something different, this was no mean feat. I came away with more sewing skills at the end of day, thank you Stacy."

"My wife and I were given two places on the course as a gift - we both absolutely loved the course!! Wendy & Clive were both extremely welcoming and the atmosphere for the class was relaxed. The class was well paced and structured brilliantly so even as complete beginners, you could make progress quickly. Would highly recommend (and we’ve already recommended it to friends). Proper tea, great biscuits and some of the best views around from the workshop are an added bonus ;-)."

Kevin McHale reviewed: 'Art of Stained Glass' - Oldbury, Birmingham

"I bought the stained glass workshop experience for my wife’s birthday and attended with her. Booking and information was very easy and clear. Jamal was very welcoming and soon made us feel relaxed and ready for the challenge ahead. He started with a short and most interesting history of stain glass making in Britain and showed us examples of his recent and current projects. Jamal is a very organised and precise tutor. He took us through each stage with great patience and helped us achieve without ever having to take over, himself. At all times he emphasised good practice and safety, was encouraging and congratulatory. The day flew by. We took a picnic lunch but couldn’t wait to get back to the task in hand. We left, at the end of the day, with a small but very attractive panel and a reminder of our fascinating and rewarding time in Jamal’s studio. I would thoroughly recommend this course to anyone who feels in anyway artistic of who loves English stained glass and would like to get a fuller appreciation of this magnificent art form. With many thanks, Kevin."

Stained Glassic responded:

"Dear Kevin, Thanks very much for your lovely review! And Thank you for booking a course with me. I am so happy that you enjoyed your course!!!"

Clare reviewed: Rustic oak garden bench - one day course

"This was a surprise trip for me, no idea what I was getting myself in to. But Ian was a fabulous teacher. His knowledge and patience is fabulous even when I was being very heavy handed. This sort of wood work is far more delicate than I could have imagined. The day made all the better by finding a kindred spirit in climbing, sharing stories of bear encounters in Yosemite and life without responsibilities. Fabulous day, can’t wait to go back and do another course."

Karen May reviewed: Beginning Watercolour......a day workshop for absolute beginners

"Wendy is a welcoming and friendly tutor, giving plenty of time to ask questions and see demonstrations. Her instructions regarding what to bring, directions etc were clear and I didn't have a lot of the equipment, but Wendy had everything I needed, at no extra cost. An information sheet was given, suggesting equipment needed if we wished to carry on which was very helpful for a complete beginner like myself. A very enjoyable day."
