Description

One day wood carving course for beginners with no previous experience. And also for carvers who would like to develop their skills further or bring your own project and we can working on it. Beginners, the day starts with the introduction of the tools and the traditional wood carving techniques all by traditional wood carving hand tools and you will practice those techniques also you can start to carve your own project. The course tutor for the day is Sebastian Burchart with 30 years of experience working with wood from bespoke wooden furniture, design to wood carving since 2014 The studio is place at beautiful farm Bring your pack lunch with you

"This three day course was excellent, the location of the farm was 10 minutes away and the set up was not only perfect but welcoming. I was made to feel at home and nothing was to much trouble. The food was out standing and plentiful as was the conversation around the dinner table. Sebastian was patient and relaxed in his teaching which enabled me too asked questions, he was every knowledgeable and imparted a huge amount of information and demonstrated technical skills which allowed me to develop new techniques in carving. Brilliant course. "

"Just finished the 3 day carving course at Middleton Farm with Sebastian and the ever positive and tireless host of Farm. What a fantastic host and place to hold the course. I can honestly say it has been the best course I have had the pleasure to attend. The facilities, the five star food has been faultless equally so for Sebastian's tutoring/instructions on the intricacies of carving. His relaxed professional attitude and ability to pass on his skills enabled me to produce work, (as a first timer) which was rewarding and pleasantly surprised me. I will be going on future courses with Sebastian. 5 stars for this 3 day course.. Gary Daniels"

"Seb was a good tutor and in my view got the balance right between allowing me to get on with carving and being available to offer advice/guidance and encouragement when needed. He has a nice easy manner and I appreciated his hospitality by being regularly offered drinks and biscuits. He clearly knows his craft well and I came away inspired to do more carving in the future. I recommend anyone who's thinking of trying woodcarving or developing their skills to go on one of his courses."
