Sip & Stitch Embroidery with Create Your Happy

Join Liz and Laura from Create Your Happy for a relaxed and enjoyable creative evening. We are delighted to be holding a workshop in a lovely setting, Patch, which is located in The Old Library in High Wycombe. It's a "sip & stitch" evening, where you enjoy crafting an embroidery hoop while catching up with friends, with a glass of fizz or mug of tea/coffee in hand. We have some gorgeous embroidery designs and inspiration ready for you - we will start the session by choosing a word or phrase to embroider that really resonates, it might be heartfelt, set an intention, or simply sum up the craziness of life!! It could even be a name or initial, to really personalise your make. From there, we will show you how you can add to the design with some decorative elements that will frame the word and allow you to try out some different stitches along the way. The joy is that you can add as much or as little as you wish! If your embroidery experience in recent years has extended as far as sewing on the odd button to some clothes (or perhaps attaching badges on jumpers for those with children at Brownies/Cubs etc?!), we promise this is a beginner friendly session and is a lovely way to introduce you to some of the basic embroidery stitches in an enjoyable way. We have guidance for all stitches and templates for the design, so the beauty of it is you can try as many as you like and no previous experience or creative flair is needed to get you started! You will come away with a piece of embroidery hoop art that you can pop up at home, or at your work desk - you might even be inspired to keep adding to your design beyond our evening with you! Patch is a co-working space inside the Old Library at the end of High Wycombe’s High Street (the space is really lovely, btw!) and they are a community-loving enterprise, completely in tune with our values of helping people connect. For the evening we will have the exclusive use of the homely Django's café space.

We provide you with full crafting instruction and guidance provided on the night. Price includes all of the materials you need, as well as our delicious homemade refreshments!

We are Liz and Laura and we are passionate about wellbeing through creativity and love creating a space where people can switch off, learn something new and connect with others. Since 2021, we have been running creative workshops in Buckinghamshire and surrounding areas. We teach a range of different craft activities, suitable for beginners as well as seasoned crafters! As well as our public sessions, we also take bookings for private workshops and workplace creative sessions. We have a range of 'do-it-yourself' craft kits, perfect for you to craft in your own time or gift to a crafty loved one.
