Doing something practical is so important for our mental well-being. We want to offer the opportunity to learn to more people than those who can travel to us. This is why we are now offering one of our carpentry courses online. Join us for the live Zoom sessions or watch the recording if you can't make a lesson in person. In this online course you will learn how to make a toolbox from wood. Whether you are a total beginner or you have done some woodwork before, this course is a great starting point or the perfect refresher for those basic carpentry skills. You will learn a system of marking out wood, how to correctly measure and saw wood, how to join wood together using screws and nails and how to identify the correct fixings for the job. And you won't need your own workshop or shed - we'll show you how you can work safely at your kitchen table! You will walk away with a finished toolbox so that you can start your very own tool collection and keep all of your tools safe. You'll always be able to find them again and carry on using them at home!

NO! There is no expectation for you to have any previous experience. Wherever you are at with learning practical skills is perfect. Whether you are a complete beginner or have some experience, you will be able to learn something new on our courses.
It depends which course you book on to! All of our courses are designed to give you a solid grounding in the particular skill. We always start with the basics upon which you will be able to build. We intend our courses to be like a key that opens new doors and new possibilities.
If you were assigned female at birth, but don’t identify as a woman, you can still take part in our courses for women. To us it doesn’t matter which gender you identify with, but having grown up as a girl/woman most likely meant that you grew up in a world with certain stereotypes and certain opportunities – in terms of practical skills – that were opened or closed for you.
