Introduction to Enamelling Workshop

X

Description

You’ll be provided with a choice of blanks in copper and enamel in a range of different colours. You will create your own piece of jewellery - pendant, earrings or charm using traditional techniques. All you need to know is your favourite colour! You will also have the option to add your own individual style to the item by using our wide range of hammers or a rolling mill to texture the piece. Your piece of jewellery will be ready to take home (or wear!) immediately after the workshop We’ll start things off by deciding on what you want to make, choosing from a selection of different blanks. If you wish, you can add unique textures using our rolling mill or collection of hammers. You will then have the opportunity to use all your creative skills, enamelling your earrings, pendant or charm to your own unique design, using a variety of techniques and effects before firing it with a blowtorch. Members of the Noctua team will be on hand throughout this process to support, advise and teach you the skills needed while allowing you to make your item independently. This is a very interactive workshop which is suitable for complete beginners and people with prior experience of jewellery making. Everyone is welcome! If you need glasses for reading then we recommend you bring them on the day, and we also recommend wearing old clothes. You will need to wear closed-toe shoes and tie up long hair. We do not have a strict age limit but please enquire before booking a class for anyone under the age of 16 to confirm that the workshop is suitable for children. All under 16s will need to be accompanied by a participating adult.
