Description
A 6 hour workshop enabling you to design and make your own silver spinner ring. Starting in copper you will learn how to adapt and manipulate the metal by sawing, piercing, hammering, annealing, patinating and forming. We will also cover soldering, texturing metal and other techniques such as stamping. Materials include Copper sheet and wire (also for your practice ring) Sterling silver sheet (1mm x 1cm x 75mm), Sterling silver round wire (1.5mm and enough for 3 satellites) solder and use of all tools. If you would like the rondelle and beaded wire for your satellite rings, I can order this at a cost of £15.00 per person. After playing and designing your piece, the techniques you learn will then enable you to create a solid silver spinner ring with added spinning rings.
