Christmas Fused Glass Night Light (half day) course at Rainbow Glass Studios
Description
A fun and festive morning with us at Rainbow Glass Studios, learning to cut and combine glass that will be fused to make your own Christmas Night Light and candle holder. We will teach you to use glass cutting tools and pliers, and practice scoring and breaking glass, and then move on to a variety of different ways to combine a rainbow of different coloured glass, spots, frits and stringers to create your own design. You will make one night light fused glass panel to sit in its own handmade wooden base. We will fuse your pieces after the class (as it takes 24 hours to "cook" them in the kiln) and you can come back later in the week to collect them, or we can post them out to you for an additional £5 payable on the day when you attend, to cover postage. This course is open to adults over 16 years and children over 12 years (when accompanied by a fee paying adult or guardian also taking part in the class). Come with a friend or family member, and enjoy creating your own homemade fused glass Christmas together!

Maker
I'm Eleanor, I'm a jeweller and glass maker and I love colour, texture, design and pattern. I work across all of these in a variety of media including fused glass, enamel, silver, copper, anodised aluminium creating my one-off jewellery and glass pieces. I retrained as a jeweller in 2012, and I work with my husband at Rainbow Glass Studios where I thoroughly enjoy teaching weekend courses in glass and enamelling. I believe everyone has creativity and I want to encourage you to explore yours!
