Christmas Fused Glass Lantern with The Cheshire School of Glass
Description
On this wonderfully seasonal course you will create glass art panels to decorate the four sides of a traditional festive lantern! Let your creativity flow over the day, designing a Christmas fused glass lantern allows you to learn the technique of fusing glass using an array of different materials to produce your panels. Don't worry if you haven't worked with glass before, we'll be covering all the useful basics of cutting and shaping, using frits and glass paints, stencils etc. We'll be running through the technical side of kiln-firing and demonstrating how the various glass techniques can produce very differing effects. The studio, a barn-conversion in the heart of Cheshire, is filled with the magic of Christmas which will include mince pies, Christmas music, seasonally decorated beams, the scent of orange and clove and a fun, festive atmosphere that we always aspire to create at CSG!
