Description
Turn a log of locally sourced wood into a hand carved bowl in a day! You will be introduced to the hand tools that make this process possible, including an axe and carving gouges. This is a physically demanding carving day. No experience necessary, just plenty of enthusiasm and stamina! This workshop is carried out at "The Clearing", an outdoor purpose-built creative space in Lesnes Abbey Woods. Boots and sturdy footwear must be worn (no open toed shoes). All protective equipment is supplied. Whatever the weather, the workshop will proceed, except under high wind conditions or lightning. Our parachute canopy and central, open fire will keep you warm and dry as you carve.
